"Your PlayStation 3 is coming!"

Just out of morbid curiosity, what are the three games?

They are bundling Formula One 06 (Yay), Genji (Boo) & Resistance (Undecided about this), and I've ordered MotorStorm so far.

Not going to bother with the Ubisoft games, I'll get them on the 360.

Edit: apparently 'This offer is currently the only way of securing yourself a PS3 in the UK for launch!' From their own T&C's. WTF?

Only because you get 'pushed to the front of the queue'. If nobody went for that stupid bundle, everyone else would still get one.

Or...is it that stupid? You secure a PS3 and can just ebay the PSP. So you'd be paying a ittle over the odds, but still.

No, of course it's stupid.

Umm, well done I guess.

£550 if anyone is interested.

Or you could try this uber bargain from HMV.

With regards to console bundling, can someone clear this up:

I'm sure I remember reading that trading standards prohibit the sale of seperate items as a bundle unless those items are also offered as seperate items for sale.

What does that mean though?

I know that when I have gotten my bundles for the 360 and the Wii from Games website they have listed all the items seperatly and given a discount total for the savings (not a lot in both cases). Almost as if you are buying them all seperatly.

Logic would say thats a double edged sword for them though. It means that you should be able to take the games back to their store and exchange them as they are listed as seperate items.

In fact I remember several people saying that they had done that very thing and they had to accept the exchange. Not 100% sure on this though.

Why are people excited by emails from shops allowing them to spend 5 hundred pounds on a product they will sell? PS3's are readily available for the same price on the internet. Does a PAL badge really mean that much to anyone?

I find this quite weird, i don't have any excitement towards this none-prestigious launch event. Especially compared to getting my Wii, which was a rollercoaster day of anticipation, worry and delight.

Well I took it to mean that a shop can't sell two seperate items (For example a games console and a game, but it could be a frying pan and a set of VHS tapes) as a forced bundle unless it also offers these items seperately. So, you can sell a console bundle with 5 games but only if you also have the console and the items on sale seperately. I suspect they could get around that by saying there are none in stock (Of the seperate items I mean).

Whilst I have no interest in a PS3 myself it's obvious that some people do. Why should they be less excited about the PS3 than you were about the Wii?
