I watched the Warcraft film the other night, and Jesse and Tulip were inexplicably in it as the king and queen. I kind of wish I hadn't bothered.

I like Dominic Cooper, but he's fucking atrocious in Warcraft. Woefully miscast.

I didn't realise he was supposed to be the king for ages, even though other characters kept referring to him as the king. Absolutely no regal bearing.

It didn't help that his palace and outfit looked more like something an off duty Chelsea player might knock about in.

So disappointed with this. Him turning out to be a dick was the most tiresomely predictable scenario. Would have been so much more surprising if he

hadn't turned out to be an asshole.

right?

Spoiler

of course, the grail would have had operatives in the EDS if they truly were a worldwide mission for vampire acceptance

Bit confused with the New Orleans plotline:

So this Lestat wannabe is a self loathing vampire, who wants to rid the earth of his kind. Is his rationale of turning others into vampires so he can feed on/kill them without guilt, rather than feeding on humans? Seems a bit risky, what if one of them escapes and carries out his fake plan of spreading the vampirism?

I guess he’s so powered up because he’s feeding on his own kind, as I originally thought it was because there were a lot of vampires he’d sired out there and each one gave him some power. But obviously that’s not true as he just kills them.

I really wanted to like is. I love the comic and am a big fan of Cooper.

I struggled through season 1 but have really stalled on season 2. I just can't get past how wrong the girl playing Tulip is for the part.

I'm sure that if I hadn't read the comics I wouldn't have this issue. Cassidy is also far too young an actor and doesn't have the acting chops.

Utter madness, Gilgun is a bloody superb actor and has more than enough chops for this part and is in his late 30s

Ruth Negga again is superb, she wears a blonde wig in S3 if that makes you happy

Lol I may be biased a tad. But I still  have plenty of issues with some of the decisions made in the telly programme.

But in no way is Gilgun anything other than perfect for the part.

I find the casting rather messy too. I think Ruth Negga is awful. She was terrible in Misfits and is just as annoying in this.

Have you read the comic - she is nothing like Tulip in any way shape or form.

Bonkers opinion IMHO

Has someone with the user name Cassidy read the comic?

Nah mate comics are for kids ain't they.

In all seriousness I'm willing to overlook a different hairstyle and skin colour and appreciate a different take on a thinly written character in the original books.

TV Tulip way better as she's more like a real person.

Oh and I bought issue 1 on release and own all the Absolute Editions.

I'm toying with getting  the Absolutes. How many are there in total?

I just cant get on with her as Tulip - and its not like I don't like her as an actress - her role in Loving is fucking amaze

Only 3 in total and they are well worth the money Imo. I may be biased.
