I love this series, glad to see it back. I thought the first season was patchy but finished real strong. S2, from memory was pretty solid high quality throughout. The three leads are superb.

S2 kind of lost me, it just seemed to stop moving at times. Jesse's search for God was amusing but the story with Cassidy and his dad just went on and on and Tulip is just so boring. Herr Starr was incredible, though.

I might dip in again and finally finish S2 but I hope S3 has a bit more life in it.

that was his son

and the comic totally grinds to a halt on a number of occasions, reflecting real life, before some event or other propels the story forward.

 Bollocks, of course it was. I humbly apologise to Cassidy and his dad son.

Personally the last thing I want from a story about gods, superpowers, angels and vampires is for nothing to happen for a while "to reflect real life".

No problem and remember it's pronounced "Prawn-shas"

Comic book series often go into a wheel-spinning phase when they realise they're popular and don't want it to end. At one point Jesse spent something like a year bumming around avoiding the main plot.

Just getting to that point of my Absolute edition read through.

This season has been great so far, no bullshit episodes - there's plenty going on - and it's been pretty damn funny. Because I've watched it from the beginning I'm used to the goings on it it, but it was only when I was explaining to my wife what was happening that I realised how utterly bonkers it is.

That last episode was some frigging Preacher alright.

Glad that they seem to have realised that Pip Torrens needs to be on screen as much as possible. Everything he comes out with is gold. "There goes my morning erection."

Pretty sure I saw him in Poldark on Sunday...

Yeah he’s in Poldark this series. Makes me laugh now as he’s forever Herr Starr to me.

This season hasn't really been grabbing me as much as the first two, particularly season 2. Monday comes round and I haven't felt compelled to watch the new episode. Having said that, the latest episode was great, easily the best of the season so far, for me.

I have a question, not really about Preacher as such: I normally watch it through the Prime Video app on my PS4, and it looks fine. Like, it looks normal. Last night I watched it through the Amazon Prime app on the TV, and the picture quality was different. It was hi res, but it made everything look really cheap, if that makes any sense. Like, normally it looks like a film, but last night it looked like an episode of Hollyoaks. Know what I mean? What causes this? I guess there's some setting on my TV that'll fix it, but I don't know what.

Finally caught up. Cracking stuff. I'm surprised they've done so well to keep the series faithful to the source and be such a departure at the same time. The casting of the leader of Les Enfant Du Sang is great - it's Ignis from Final Fantasy XV - the actor clearly has a talent for playing insufferable bell ends.

Herr Starr is sensational. Featherstone is great too (in fact, I'd say better in this series than in the comics thanks to Julie Ann Emery). In fact they've nailed everything regarding the Grail.

I figured he was channeling Armand Assante in everything.

Except Interview with a vampire, which was Antonio Banderas.
