If you get Demon Souls, you can forget anything else for the next few weeks or months anyway. As you can tell, it's by far by my most loved game on the system and one of the best games this gen hands down.

After that yeah, Uncharted 2 (though you should play 1 even though it's not as good just to make the most of 2 as the characters are brilliant), Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza 3 prob make up for my fave exclusives since they seem so unique in their own way. Other than that, lots of other good PS3 only stuff already mentioned, MGS, Motorstorm, E.Golf World Tour etc

But yeah, DEMON SOULS I'd probably be playing it now if Currys didn't repair my PS3, send it back and then have it die again within 6 days. Lol

And maybe some Minis?

I've played through the Lemmingsish minis puzzler Kahoots recently.

Oliver Postgate and Tony Hart tributes in the credits an indication to the look and sound, It's 50 levels of increasingly challenging, but never overly demanding fun.

Understated, but pretty lovely I think.

I'm really really enjoying Pixel Junk Shooter at the moment. One of the holy trinity of PSN games along with Flower and Wipeout I reckons.

Can someone recommend a good strategy game or board game type thing? I don't really mind if it's PSN or a retail game but I need a nice slow game when I don't fancy the usual stuff. Not really after a shooter, perhaps a puzzle game though.

Two completely awesome games:

Demon's Souls

Valkyria Chronicles

I didn't like Metal Gear Solid 4 much mind. Uncharted was good and Uncharted 2 even gooder. Wipeout HD is super slick and gorgeous. Killzone 2 isn't really my cup of tea but was a fun blast I guess. Little Big planet was fun.... for the first hour but crap otherwise. Flower is lovely and doesn't overstay its welcome.

Looking at some PSN titles.

Is Echochrome worth getting? Had it on my PSP a while back and liked it, just wondered if it held up on the big screen.

Also, this may be a dumb question, but why are the PSP games not made for PSN too? Surely having the likes of Patapon and Locoroco on PSN for playing at home would get them loads more sales. is it a technical thing?

Cuboid on PSN is excellent for relaxed puzzle-time. (Although in fairness you can play its 'inspiration' Bloxorz for free on the web.)

I liked Cuboid, but after paying 8 quid for a game "inspired" by a free flash game, I thought it was more than a bit cheaky of them to have blatantly cut out 1/3 of the levels and demand more money for them as extra content, along with a level maker. It works out as 12 quid for the full game, which is about twice as much as it should cost.

I think I enjoyed Kahoots more and that's about £2.70 or something,.

It looks great, as crisp and clear as you'd imagine.

I would also love some big screen Patapon.

Pixeljunk Monsters is little more than your average tower-defence game, but I think it's adorable as well as being bitchingly hard.

Another cheapy but goody is Locoroco Cocoreccho, like the PSP game but following a butterfly instead of tilting the screen. Basically just guiding lots of singing marbles around a maze, quite relaxing apart from the bloody sixaxis-shaking.

What is Demon Souls?

Its an ace game that you should buy.

Its an action RPG with excellent graphics and sound, very atmospheric if not exactly cheery. It doesn't rely on stats though, just lots of characterisation of your player and his/her weapons to suit your playing style. It also has some very interesting multiplayer elements, a bit different to the usual co-op/pvp.

Its rock hard, but not unfairly so. Theres a very large thread on it if you need to be convinced.

Cheers for the advice guys! On my list: Uncharted 1 & 2, RDR, Arkham Asylum, Heavy Rain, and maybe MGS4/Street Fighter if I can pick them up cheap...oh, and Modern Warfare 2.

What is Demon Souls?

Super Street Fighter IV not Street Fighter IV :)

Also everybody's golf, Ridge Racer 7 and Burnout Paradise is worth a look as well.
