A thread for PS3 owners Here

Hello Goaty ♥

Recommended Posts

I bought this one yesterday. The rose tinted specs quickly came off I'm afraid. Controlling 3D objects with a d-pad is all but impossible after all these years of analogue sticks and mice, and the pop up, the pop up is beyond a joke - it makes Driver 2 look decent.

Definitely one to be left alone tbh.

I loved G-Police back in the day, but even then the pop-up/fogging was an issue.

Echochrome for PS3 and PSP are apparently now present in the Store.

Since I already bought the PSP version ON UMD, would anybody who purchases the PSP-PSN version care to tell what exactly the content of the DL-version consists of?

.::: Has the game been fixed to finally accept all possible solutions instead of the predefined-by-creator ones?

Is it?! I always thought it was better cos it provided a seperate link for the video info with the sound running through the other cables.

Anyone know for sure?? The Interweb seems to be on Lorfarius' side, but it would be nice to know for sure (without actually just buying one). Then again, I might just buy a HDTV to be safe.

In other news, it still doesn't like my credit card, my debit card, our joint account credit card, my missus' credit card, my missus' debit card...Wipeout is going to be online purchase only right? Could be interesting*...

*Frigging annoying.

Can't give a complete picture of this behavior yet.

What I can say: the PSP-UMD allows for some crazy motions I can think of.

The PSN-PS3 version seems - indeed - more finicky about what route it lets you take - up until now (B & C levels) not to the detriment of Teh Fun, though...

Yeah it was £18 yesterday. It's £18 on amazon.co.uk now though so you can get it from there instead.

And how much do they usually charge for postage?

Changing the subject slightly, looks like you may have been right regarding Wipeout HD, not a highly reputable source but these guys report that it'll be out this month. Shibby! :)

'Bout fuckin' time too I'd say.

So I finally got a replacement PS3 back, after OVER TWO FUCKING MONTHS. They threw in a Sixaxis as well, which is nice, but I can figure they just want to get rid of their old stuff anyway.

Still, I'm really glad it works and all. Installing, copying save files and updating everything took me the entire afternoon, but it's fully up and running again. My first real online session with GTA IV was an absolute joy, with a lot of good LOLs :) Now to check out the dozen of demo's I'm downloading right now, and to decide what'll be my summer of 2008 game.

Eh? How come it took so long?

60 GB probably.

Indeed. I had been warned for it, both by the Dutch television and a couple of people who experienced the same, but I had no choice - my PS3 refused to read discs around the end of April. So I sent it to Sony a few days later, after a call in which they promised it would be either repaired or replaced within 15 days.

By the 25th of May, there was no sign of a package from Sony yet. I rang, they told me they were out of 60GB replacements. Couldn't tell me how long it would take. The same story on the 10th and the 25th or so in June. But now, I've finally got a new one - the label says it's from China, too. Still, I'm very happy that it's actually new (aside from some greasy fingerprints, the console is in spotless, and the plastic foils were still on it when it arrived) and working very well.

Now to hope it won't get disc reading problems again :)
