Yeah i noticed that, it puts a kind of downer on it for me as the other modes are the better ones. Also no voice chat at all of camera support. :)

have they just left the ones with time pressure? to mitigate against Edge's "everybody's googling"?

I imagine the update is made part of the main download so when you buy it new you don't have to download the game and then an update straight away.

Check the game info, it should be 4.00.

If I didn't get banned for it, then people would realise moderator threats don't need to be taken seriously and that knowledge would cause a riot of trolling and personal attacks, destroying the forum. Somehow I really, really, REALLY don't think your banning would "Destroy" the forum.

MGS4 is a vastly more complex game technically, and the scope of the levels makes it bloody difficult to stream - hence why we get broken down levels

It's pretty, but I don't see it being vastly more demanding than anything else. The AI isn't great, each different area is pretty small, and there isn't a huge amount of physics stuff going on.

And I thought that the BR drive was just as fast as the 360s DVD drive to data transfer anyway...?

Have you played it on a high difficulty setting? The A.I. is stellar! On the boss extreme, they're so on the ball it's nuts!

I think the BR drive is 9x whereas the 360 DVD drive is 12x (hence the noise).

A single speed Dvd is 10.5mbits/s

Therefore a 12x 360 drive is 126mbits/s

1x BR is 36mbits/s

The ps3 is 2x BR - 72mbit/s

note: all speeds are theoretical maximums and unlikely to actually be achiveable - especially as speeds vary across the disc

Soong's correct. It's come up several times in this thread alone. PS3 has a fixed data transfer rate, 360 has a variable one. The 360's top rate is higher than the PS3 rate, but the low end is lower. I think some developer is quoted as having worked out that overall the 360 'wins' overall, but there wasn't a huge amount in it.

Then again... if your drive slowly starts displaying this behavior with other DVD's, audioCD's - your bluray drive's days are numbered

Think I'll contact the seller and ask for a replacement. As it always happens at the same point on the disc it's most likely the discs.

Got a problem with my PS3. Hope this makes sense.

I lost my internet connection for some reason and i just cant seem to connect again.

I go through the 'scan for network' process and it picks up my Sky broadband fine and i get to enter the WEP key. Its 10 characters long so i type it in. When i press enter (start) it only enters it as 8 characters. Theres no way of changing it. After that i get as far as the Test Connection and it says it cant connect probably because its only recognising 8 characters rather than 10. No doubt cos of the WEP key problem.

I can connect ok to a network that someone hasnt protected nearby :blink: but id rather be honest and use my own (especially as the unprotected one is on 30% strength at best :lol: )

anyone know what could be up?

I thought it always did 8 digits so that people can't get the length of your password by looking about on your machine? Could be wrong, I'm on WPA.

I thought so, too.

My PS3 quite often can't connect to my Sky wireless router. A quick reboot of the router fixes that.
