A thread for PS3 owners Here

Hello Goaty ♥

Recommended Posts

I put this in ATF, but no reply - someone care to recommend me a wireless router (not Linksys) that works fine with the PS3 - my mate's Linksys decided not to work recently, and after extensive tests we worked out it's his dodgy router that's the problem. So - if you use wireless for the PS3, what router do you have?

I recommend this one, absolutely amazing signal, UPnP works everytime with the PS3 and I've never noticed any connection problems with it (i.e. PSN signing out).

It's called a Belkin N1 Wireless Router, there's two different types, one for ADSL & one for cable.

Yeeaah! I'm up for this. I gotta add FOBT, toneeb and Kinketsu and my list is full but I'll just delete people who I don't know/play with. So apologies for anyone I delete who I shouldn't have. Hard keeping up with who's who when the forum name's different to the PSN. Would be nice if they gave you the option to rename or even add a note next to peoples name.

Feel free to delete me if you no longer have Burnout (I don't have Warhawk or COD4 on PS3).

Besides, DMC4 is taking up all of my gaming time anyhow. ^_^ Amazing game

Just a quicky. I connected my phone to the PS3 in an attempt to play some mp3s, but although the PS3 detected the phone it couldn't find any of the music. Do the mp3s need to be in a named folder or something?

The PS3 will read from Root/MUSIC by default, but if you hit Triangle and select Display All you can go into the phone's folder heirarchy.

I had a problem like this when I moved music from my PC to the PS3 via a USB thumb drive. I forget exactly what fixed it, but I had to hit triangle at one point and tell the PS3 to "Display All". Try hitting triangle with the device highlighted or something and see if you see that setting anywhere.

Any suggestions to this "issue" chaps?

The Club wont run on my PS3. Installs fine but freezes the unit at the exact same second at the end of level 1 of Steel Works. All my other games- including Warhawk and Devil May Cry (both heavy HDD users) run without issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the data several times and got the exact same error every single time.

I returned the game only to be told they had installed it on 2 different machines without issue. It's Shopto so I don't think they are mucking me around and if anything they too seem quite puzzled and are looking for answers. I called Sony and was told I could send the PS3 back for investigation but there may be a charge if they find nothing. As all my other games were running and there seemed to be no other issues they did say it was highly unlikely it was the unit.

I'm stumped ^_^

Hmm, no idea. Did you download the demo? Delete that, if so. And go through Game Data Utility and Saved Data Utility and delete everything again. Then try again!

No other suggestions I'm afraid, and nothing found on Google.

Shopto are telling me they did play past the section it freezes on for me- on two different machines. I've gone back to ask them to confirm that they did install from that disk as I agree with you Spacehost, it looks more like a bad disc than anything else. If they are just running the game on a PS3 thats installed the Club from another disc then that may not show up the error.

It seems to freeze just as the "working" icon appears and it should start reading the next level data from the HDD. Instead I get no disc activity and it just sits there. I did try changing back to 720p and basic stereo but it didn't seem to make any difference.

I didn't know until about a day ago you can install games to the machine's hard drive. Do you need the disc to still run the game if it's on the HDD?

It's not copying over the game, just installing it to run on the PS3. Disk is still needed as the majority of the data is on the disc
