Decided to download the Skydiving game off of the European site and it is so slow to download it's unreal. Real 56k speeds.

At this rate I might just be able to give it a go today.

Wierd, half an hour will usually net me a 500MB file and I'm on 512K half the time.

The only time this ever happened to me was when realised I was downloading a shed-load of torrents at the same time or had exceeded my daily bandwidth..

All my other downloads have been fine today and I even started downloading a demo off of Live to see if it was at my end but it's just the PSN download that is slow.

I usually get really fast downloads off of the PSN so am just really surprised at this one.

Update the PSP firmware? In the Settings line go to System Update.

Is that as easy as it sounds? Will the update just be sitting there?

Make sure the PSP is charged, and plugged in. In the XMB there will be a system update option. Pick that and follow the prompts.

Sky Diving is, hmm... well I've only had one jump. It seems like there's a lot of options which is nice. Formation diving, team match, landing and a hidden one you unlock after getting a certain license. And online play. Graphics are like PS2. It's all motion controlled, you move by tilting and pull the shute by pulling upwards. No idea why hitting L2/R2 doesn't do the shute though, would feel much better.

And the character moves around the screen in the same way a mouse pointer moves around a desktop if the ball needs cleaning.

And when you pull the chute, even if you leave it late, it takes BLOODY AGES to get to the ground.

It also tends you to read the manual before playing but it doesn't tell you the basic controls at all! Not that I've seen anyway. It has potential, maybe after a few more dives.

Oh, when you're first falling you can do stunts and stuff, which means you don't see the weird movement at the start. No idea how you do the stunts though. Just hold L1/R1 and move the pad around. It's not bad this game. Not great. Far from it. Barely average, but I reckon for £3.50 you can get your moneys worth.

Looks like router weirdness for me (sorry Sony ) Rebooted router and now it is flying down.

Been looking forward to the Skydiving game. Hope it's not as shit as that skiing or bowling game.

How does it work with transferring?

I just save onto the memory stick (do I have to create a particular file)?

Then when you go to them, hit install and it should show up.

Or use the PS3's browser to navigate to your post with the link to the file and download it that way. The PS3 does the rest.

Its how I got the Okami one on mine....... I think...

I'm using the COD4 one from the Store, it's awesome.

I used to use m0dus' MGS4 theme, which was also awesome, and featured a different wallpaper everytime you returned to the XMB.

I dunno what you mean. p3t files are themes for the PS3. Copy them to a memory stick in /PS3/THEME/ and then go to the Theme option in the XMB, you will see an install option, hit that and pick the file from the stick.

Or get the url to the p3t file and browse to it via the PS3 web browser.
