I received a Playstation Eye in the post this morning. Are any of the mini-games I've seen on PSN worth shelling out for?

Hmm not really. Maybe get the fish tank if you have a nice big TV and like looking at fish. It's quite nice to have on in the background, rather relaxing!

The Mesmerise 'games' are kind of interesting to mess around with but they'd be a hundred times better if you could play CDs while they were on and just have them as background amusements. The Japanese art one (Tori-Emaki?) is nice to fiddle with but ultimately, like Mesmerise, it goes nowhere. Might be good fun for kids. Create is the only essential PSN Eye app for me, though I haven't tried any of the 'proper' games on there - I don't have enough confidence in them, basically.

Stardust HD is also ace, but not so hard.

Watch some youtube videos to see if you like the music. It's quite a different pace to Geometry Wars, from what I played, but obviously very similar in how you play.

Speaking of online, some PS3 owners have complained about the delays in seeing content on the PlayStation Network that is already available overseas. Why are there delays? Is it usually the language issue and Australia tied to the PAL territory?

One of the big things is the language issue, having to change to French, Italian, German and Spanish if it's a US product. This is an issue that SCE is looking at and is very aware of globally. We're in an online space, it's a global community.

And digital distribution is supposed to break down the geographic barriers...

Yeah. Without going into too much detail, there are discussions and we have identified that. We have been very vocal about it and I think you will see an improvement over the next six months on this issue. It is a legitimate issue and we will address it.

How is this different from XBL?

You still have to invent a address to sign up for a US account unless I'm mistaken, and some content is still timed. Obviously Live stuff tends to be much closer together between regions then psn stuff, and I can only assume thats because Microsoft are more organised when it comes to content ratings and such. They probably demand those things are settled before uploading the content, and sony probably do it as they go along.

The difference being the gap between the US and UK XBLM isn't nearly as mahoosive as the PSN is.

I've just ordered a PS3. The game i've chosen with it is Uncharted as I really like the look of it, and I'm a sucker for adventure games. What else should I be considering to begin with? Maybe another couple of games, and could someone tell me the cheapest palce to get an hdmi lead from, and is it worth getting the official one? Thanks in advance.

Buy any old HDMI lead, it doesn't matter. £10 ones from Woolies are as good as any of the affordable ones, or so I've been told. Download Warhawk so we can have some giggles, buy Everybody's Golf 5 and try the demos on the stores for everything else.

If you're looking for exclusives, then Motorstorm is worth going for. Looks fab, is fun to play and can be had for peanuts these days! Get Everyday Shooter from the store too, then wait for WipEout HD and an English release of Hot Shots Golf

I probably will get UT3 if there people on here with it. I used to love Unreal Championship on the original XBox, such a well balanced game. I played it much more than Halo 2 (online).
