That's not fair. My house is posh, well, the stuff my posh wife fills it with is posh, 'cos, she is posh like, because her family is rich and stuff. And we have oak things and loads of stuff I wouldn't have bought (with my money, but she did anyway, like a piano, a big one and some french stuff :P ) and the PS3 looks ok.

when it's horizontal it's kind of 70s retro. The worst thing they, Sony, did was the Spiderman font. If they had done, what they have done, without the Spiderman font, the PS3 would have looked cool. The last thing that blended with my pish/posh house this seamlessly was the Panasonic 3DO.

I may have drank too much before posting this.. fuck it. Who cares...?

The Wii looks ok. If you have a Japanese like house. They have a lot of pine and beige and lime-green and insist on covering everything with what suspiciously looks like tea-towels. The 360 doesn't fit in anywhere IMHO. It's ok in isolation but ... It's too big to be cool and not stylish enough to stand onit own. (the red sets it off nicely though! :( )

I can't fathom this. The main problem with the PS3 is that it's fucking massive and black. Now, most things of an electronic nature look great in black, but the PS3 is awful. Maybe if it was matte black....to be honest, if they'd not made the top curved it would have been an improvement. I'm not one for blocking other people's opinions, because normally I can see the other side of the argument, even if I don't agree with it, but to say the PS3 is nice to look at is, to me, mind boggling.

You seem to be confusing rich with posh. What is posh about oak?

here a sign of life from us. so many request here the answer = no we are not dead ^^

atm we working with new stuff but also with our self files. we cant work rly well cuz the sdk is missing but we found some other nice stuff, u will hear from it soon. also we try to load SELF files other way, for example by using tiff files. should be possible when we know the structur better, u can download one testfile below. thanks to sorrow for this. we lookin forward to load self other way that we dont have to use games

It's not an RTS though, it's much simpler than that. Creatures head towards your village, you build towers to keep them at bay. It's very compelling, and satisfying when you set your defenses up just *so*.

I heard the racing one was shit, though no doubt someone'll be in to defend it...

I really hate this kind if announcement, as everyone takes it as some form of confirmation that a hack is on the way. Crashing a machine using a TIFF "exploit" is nothing new, in fact one was reported for the ps3 before its EU release and still nothing. Crashing a machine is just that, it doesn't necessarily lead to being able to insert executable code. Theres no excuse for semi text speak either, the real groups don't use it :P Anything less then a working program of any form is not newsworthy. Unfortunately the internet likes to make everything seem like it is.

In fact the recent wii "announcement" where they demonstrated simple code booting to allow them to read out wii pointer coordinates on the wii itself was widely reported as confirmation that the wii had in fact been hacked. Bollocks was it, the code barely worked on the day as it was (the guys demonstrating it were as surprised as anyone), and was hardly code worthy of claiming to be a hack or exploit.

It's a poor persons take on rich persons life-style, and the overwhelming difference, from my point of view, being 'oak'. Poor people just never have it. i don't remember them having it in the same quantities I now have it. It's crazy. where ever I look - there is Oak. Oak chairs, oak tables, oak pianos, oak floors, oak stuff. It might not be oak. I'm drunk. Shit - it looks like oak. Robin Hood isn't exactly climbing out of it... but. And as for posh. My wife's family are posh. and rich and japanese. and they seem to confuse oak and posh and rich all the time. You have to excuse me, I'm just (obviously) an ignorant peasant... whose drunk and earns all the money around here, and buys oak. My only link to the the past is games and game consoles. Uncharted is good. life sucks.

I know it isn't, which is why I said "nothing big there". You never know though, it could definitely lead to something as the TIFF exploit for PSP caused the console to crash and they managed to get unsigned code running from it. So let's wait and see. I'm also not holding my breath though :P

It's not bad - plays like a Scalextric set but with different objectives. I haven't played it much, but then I don't play anything much these days - my friend came over and spent half an hour with it though and seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.

Also, does anyone know why I can't seem to update my UK copy of Motorstorm online on my HK PS3?
