On another note... I think I'm gonna make a website about the PS3, to help pass the long looonely nights. WHO'S WITH ME?!

I'll write a review of Uncharted to help you.

Uncharted is really, really, really, really fucking good.

It looks very nice as well.

Note to self. Get Uncharted.

Question for the room.

After the end of my PS3 buying splurge I want to have 5 games. They will probably be bought like this.

1 and 2 bundled with the console.

3. Then 4. Then 5.

Opinions on which games I should get?

Looking at Uncharted, CoD4, Resistance, Orange Box, Burnout, Devil May Cry 4 and Rainbow Six Vegas for things that will be out when I start buying. Getting it now so I can have the older stuff out of the way in time for MGS4, GTA4, etc.

Just played the first 2 minutes of Uncharted as well. Its so nice and bright!

Motorstorm is worth a go and it should be pretty cheap. Warhawk if you are online?

Most will probably suggest Motorstorm if you're after a racing game, but personally I much prefered Ridge 7 and you should be able to get it dirt cheap by now.

I'll just put the standard 60GB back in my machine and take the 250GB I was using and put it in my new machine - so that's sorted.

I don't use the USB ports, and if I did I'd just get a hub - so that's sorted.

Yep, it does sound pretty fucked up.

What? Inferior hardware - PAL launch machines already had substandard BC, which the 40gb removes entirely, smaller HDD, fewer USB ports. That sounds pretty fucked up to me.

Are people still doing this? I really hoped 2008 would the year that the rllmuk masses would find a new axe to grind. Especially in this thread - the nicest place on the forum.

As for choosing games, Elliot, I'd say Sega Rally > RR7 > Motorstorm. But any of the three are good.

There's not a console-specific Burnout thread, no. But feel free to post your imprssions in there - or here!

Perhaps the way your television handles signals over the different inputs? I'd say the only difference between the demos was marginally increased texture quality on the PS3 version.
