Some further Medialink testing for PS3 owning Mac-users...

- version 1.2 is just out

- with support for AAC woohoo (however no iTunes Plus tracks yet)

* Music

- shows album/song art for MP3 files

- ...NOT for AAC files :P

Now if only Sony would allow copying of multiple folders/files INTO a selected PLAYLIST instead of dumb copying !

As for behavior wrt

* photographs

* movies

...virtually the same unchanged excellent/bad record, respectively

I installed Eyeconnect last night and it seems to work a bit better, mind Medialink did just come out. I am liking Eyeconnect more at the moment because you can stream to the ps3 and 360 both in the same program.

Also, what's everyday shooter?

A twin stick shooter, in the vein of Geometry Wars. Every level has a completely different chaining mechanic, and it's all set to ace guitar music, with chords and such playing for all your actions. So it is as much a music game as a shooter. It's lovely.

Now, I like the look of that.

The Bionic Commando trailer looks quite good but why do Capcom use some god-awful deep voice dude and give him the most cliched horrible pish to trot out? It's embarassingly bad and they do it for all their big releases.

Because it's like they have an idea of what action patois should be but kinda miss the point slightly. Like an evolved form of engrish. Although, I have a vague recollection of this being made by and american arm of Capcom so that would also explain everything.

I got lol'd for saying that about DMC4 a few days ago. They really need to sort it out. Kind of cute in the first Resident Evil. Fucking embarrassing in 2008.

As for VGA, I don't think there's a simple solution on PS3. But you could get an HDMI>DVI cable if your monitor has DVI?

I bought one of those cables, plugged it into my monitor (a Sony, for what it's worth), and all I got was a black screen. Can anyone say that this actually, definitely works?

Requires a HDCP enabled DVI port I believe. Which is still not that common on displays below 24" in PC land.

You can buy a 19" HDCP-DVI monitor from PC World these days for about £130. Actually, stuff "these days", that was back in April... Panasonic and LG have done HDCP DVI 22" panels for months.

Hey!!! I gt a PS3. 60gb one too!. FINALLY have all three consoles.

Anyway. Anyone got one of those cables that can transfer PS2 saves to PS3 that they'd be wiling to post out? I can't see myself evr needing to use it more than once andI tjink they're like 15 quid? Bit expensive for a one use cable.

Poking around the PEGI site it seems Ridge Racer Type 4 and Wipeout 2097 have been rated ready for download. Wish they'd released those this week... (And still no new Singstore update.)

Wahey. Good to see the other wipeouts are coming along - I was just playing Wip3out this morning and I want it on my HD...
