Is that true? The PS1 version was bad and a nice, HD version of Populous would be most welcome.

It never mentioned anything about PS1 connectivity in the PS Store details (they usually do). Are you sure there aren't two versions?

that skydiving looks great, especially the fatty evel kenevel bloke.

It just needs some hovering rings to dive through and be able to use your own (pilotwings) music and i'd have that.

I just checked on PS3 store and it is PS1 version of Populous which also works with PSP.

Destruction Derby always seemed horribly broken to me. The racing/destroying balance was way off so, as I remember it, it was better to turn around before the finish line and get some head-on crashes instead of finishing the race.

Still, for £3.49 I'd be grabbing it like a shot.

And maybe Vib Ribbon. Especially if the PSP version had been magically changed so it could use MP3s instead of CDs.

And is Cool Boarders 3 any good? I do like a nice snowboarding game, especially if it's based on racing rather than tricking.

Anyway, just because they've been rated it doesn't follow that they're coming out today. Pain was rated last month and we've still not got that. Likewise, Everyday Shooter is in the list of rated games and we've not got that.

CB3, from what I remember, was amazing. But I have a feeling it hasn't aged well at all.

HD DVD Exclusive Transformers Running on PS3

Haven't tried this, but apparently a Japanese gamer was able to rip HD DVD exclusive, burn it on Blu-ray and get it running on a PS3. What was used:

• HD DVD drive

• Copy of Transformers HD DVD

• Drive for Blu-ray disc writing

• BD-R/RE disc

• HD DVD rip shareware "AnyDVD HD"

• EVO file demu freeware software "EVOdemus"

• TS file demux/remux freeware software "TSremux"

• BD lighting software "Ulead Burn.Now" (BD drive bundle)

Hit the jump for the four step procedure:

1. With AnyDVD HD, rip a EVO file of the HD DVD Transformers

2. Using EVOdemux and rebuild, the necessary image and voice are selected

3. Convert EVO file into BDMV form with TSremux.

4. Burn onto BD-RE with Ulead Burn.Now

Once again, we haven't tried this, so we're not sure if it works or not (or even if these directions are correct). This fella was apparently able to get it on Blu-ray — though, he wasn't able to get subtitles transferred over. Let us know if you are able to do this successfully.

Hi all, just received my new Ps3 yesterday, so far i really like it and i haven't even played a game yet!

Although, admitedly i did buy it more for upscaling/blu-ray.

Anyway can anyone, i mean anyone point me in the direction of a guide on how to set up a

wireless?

The search on rllmuk is down and google has failed me.

I've set up wireless before so i have the ssid, mac filtering, wep keys set but still no success.

I appreciate it.

Maybe it's me but, as gamers, I feel we should all have a more open definition of pointless. After all, to many non-gamers, videogames are pointless.

To me is more like a challenge, to see if it can be done.

DVDs, no. Region-locked blu-rays, no. Region free foreign blu-rays, sure! They just play. http://bluray.liesinc.net/ I do wish they'd region-free it entirely though.
