A thread for PS3 owners Here

Hello Goaty ♥

I think LBP will introduce a new way of "playing" video games. Less objective based and more toy based. While I'm not sure if I'll like the new style, I know that my children will just eat it up. They'll often just muck around with Mario Galaxy without any intention of getting stars, so this looks right up their street. Whenever I see it being demo'd I can just imagine them having an absolute ball with it.

Maybe we're just too old?

You know, I get more and more confused with LBP. Yeah you can create your own cool levels but they won't be anything more than 'Go from A to B' ? Will there be 'tools' you can use like spikes on a floor as a generic example that can kill the player? So you can basically make SMB type levels? or is it more about 'Make a nice level and enjoy walking/running/jumping through it etc'?

.::: Whatever happens, I'm sure we'll be playing SMB, SMB2, SMB2 USA and SMB3 in LBP-format once it's released.

Meanwhile, I will be recreating Kirby's Adventure...

The only thing i don't like about LBP so far, from the demo I have seen. Is that the guy was opening up these tiny little windowed menus and then almost struggling himself to find what he was looking for, as he scrolled up and down the list of objects. Why doesn't it open up full screen so that you can see dozens of things at once?

the 'toy' type game is hardly new. I think the first time I really discovered this new 'genre' of game was 'Line rider'

Eurogamer got the review code for Everyday Shooter and the review is up (8/10)... surely that means it's ready to hit the store tomorrow?! Woo!

I got that months ago from the US store! 8)

Is the EU version any different than the US one?

Also written in the Little Big Planet Thread

LBP Confirmed for September '08 Release.

Sony has confirmed to Eurogamer that LittleBigPlanet will be released in September.

It follows word from a source on Monday who claimed this would be the case, despite Sony's reluctance to stamp its name on it.

LittleBigPlanet is essentially a tool that lets you build your own games within an overarching framework; think variations on a theme. You and three friends can then try them out, or you can share them with the rest of the PS3 community.

September is a little later than most were expecting, although no solid date had previously been mentioned. But perhaps a longer testing period is a necessary and beneficial move for such a community-based project.

I've pretty much resigned myself that Everyday Shooter (easily one of my most anticipated games of 2007) will be released on the 18th; to coincide with me purchasing both Geometry Wars on Wii and DS and getting totally overloaded by one genre.

So then, Warhawk, worth £20 and are voice commms essential as I have no headset?

Yes, but factor in £3.99 for the pretty brilliant Omega Dawn upgrade if you enjoy it. Voice comms are far from essential, since the only people who ever talk to each other are the Yanks and they all seem to be 14 and irritatingly whiny.

Ooooh, mixed opinions! FIGHT! ^_^

I may well have a shufty as it's something differnet to my usual fayre.

It's the first large-scale multiplayer shooter I've played, but I got completely hooked. I'll find you a space on my friends list and see you for Warhawk Wednesday maybe.

I'd say it's worth £20. You can find it cheaper if you look though.

How's that then? I have looked at pretty much every online shop I know of and the physical disc is £25 plus. Is there some way to get a cheaper download?

Spacehost: I should be sorted by next Wednesday mate, PSN addy is SuperBrother
