Quantic Soul Orchestra & Spanky Wilson

Recommended Posts

I saw QSO & Spanky Wilson last night and it was top notch. The woman can really sing and the band aren't too bad either :) Sometimes, at gigs like this, the crowd end up just stood around nodding, but everyone was really getting into it. Support was Ben Westbeech who's a bit like early Jamiroquai. I seriously recommend you go and see them if you get chance. The new album is pretty good as well.

I missed them on this tour due to budget reasons, but I would second Slotter's recommendation. Always a good show.

Do they still have that compere who steps up to introduce the tracks in a totally over-the-top way?

Not on this tour, just your standard song intros and banter with the crowd from Spanky and occasionally Will Holland when she was off stage.

I've got the album they've done, and it's good and stuff - but it disapoints in the same way I feel the normal QSO stuff does: it's too polite, and they never go off on a funkathon.
