God only knows. I thought Krypton was destroyed so how can Tess be the saviour of Kandor? Not quite sure where the writers of Smallville are going with this story arc.

In the comics Kandor was put inside a bottle by Brainiac so really it didn't get destroyed with the rest of Krypton. Maybe it's inside that kryptonian thing that went all glowy?

Why am i so disappointed, i know what this show is about and i know how things will end/restart so why do i get pissed off at the end of every series.

I guess i just thought that with Doomsday being one of if not the most important battle superman has ever faced in his history that they might treat with a bit more spectacle, instead

we get two punches and an explosion and then cut away camera.

It was rubbish - surprise!

At least we got another season finale special edition of 'Previously on Smallville'. I love those things. A season's worth of special effects coupled with the series's trademark overcompressed music, all jammed into thirty seconds. One of those is almost enough to forget the disappointment of pretty much every other episode of Smallville.

When the car came flying at Clark and he caught I was all "YES, YES, THIS IS WHAT I'M HERE FOR!" And when Clark picked up Doomsday and went straight into the sky I yelled "FLY, CLARK! FLY!" at the screen. Then there was a big explosion and that was it. Mental.

So much bad stuff. Davis pitching an emo mega-fit, then having Jimmy run him through. Jimmy junior. Everything involving Green Arrow and the League of Dunces - particularly "Look at Green Arrow crying. He's pretends to be a bad-ass but he's human after all." Clark deciding the human race is rubbish. The 'Clark Kent is Dead' thing, followed by Clark fading out like he's River Phoenix or some shit. And - and forgive me if I'm wrong here - but doesn't Chloe have the meteor ability to heal people? You would have thought she might have done something when her ex-husband was dying in her lap.

And the ending, with the choir of doom chanting ZOD ZOD ZOD was beyond ridiculous.

I think I'm really done with this now. Every year it's "This is the last season!" but it never fucking is. They just keep dragging it out. I'd forgotten that once upon a time I actually enjoyed the show until I saw some old posts of mine talking about how great Smallville was. Now it's become some televisual chore, something I'm slogging through in the hope that we'll get something as amazing as when we had a vision of Superman's cape fluttering and were told he would never die, or when they had Clark's unwanted bursts of heat vision as a metaphor for spontaneous teenaged erections.

Somewhere along the line I'd convinced myself things would get better, but the marginal improvement this season has show just isn't work it. So that's it. I'm throwing in the towel. I quit. I . . .

I'll see you all right back here in September. :lol:

I feel the same, i really want to leave it alone but after 8 years i just have to stay because i just want to see him fly off or have some huge fucking fight. I hope the next series is the last and they end it with him flying into Zod with a huge fight cape and all and i'll be happy but i know they'll just keep disapppointing me.

I'd be happy if they finshed it with a tv movie with a nice budget.

Smallville has now become the last thing I download. Fringe, Lost and Reaper all take precedence. Like Campfire Burning I watch this purely because I've followed it for eight seasons now and I feel like I can't stop until I see that fucker fly. But I'm guessing the writers won't even do that.

I haven't watched the finale yet, but the comments above don't exactly make me want to.

DOOMSDAY gets 10 seconds of fight time?

What? Was it cut? Did I miss something? Do the fucking writers hate us THAT MUCH!?!?!?!

Where was the battle destroying half of the US?

I'm stunned that the most lethal creature in the Superman universe only lightly cut the Justice League or whatever they are. A whole bunch got slaughtered in the comic and all he does is scratch Green Arrows face!?!?!

How did doomsday die? I think I just missed it by not paying attention. One minute Clark was thrown through a wall and the next the Chloe/Davis/Jimmy fail was going on.

Guy from future -

"nothing ON this earth can kill him"

Clark - "lets stick him in some lava, lolz"

Basically.

When him and Clark crash into the building (Geo Thermal plant) it blows up(explosives mentioned earlier) burying Doomsday in the shaft that had been drilled and presumably melted.

Of course to anyone with an once of logic will work out, all that will happen is he will die and then resurrect immune to lava. Like he has done with everything else.

Can we have Green Lantern next season please? (I swear I say this after every finale)

Are they going to do Zod properly this time? Or is it going to be one of those things where they have in the opening episode of the season before killing him off again? I'm guessing the latter.

That was an eipc disaster. A whole season leading towards a massive fight between Doomsday and Superboy...and what do we get? A quick punch in the face, a tackle and 20 minutes of boring dialogue that noone gives a toss about. The highlight of the show was Jimmy being gutted by the pipe the low point was his brother with the tie and camera. Just why did Clark put that ring in a box for Lois to find? Talk about lazy writing and I know what will happen. She will go back in time and hit the reset button so everything will be wrapped up the next season opener.

I just don't get it. This season started with sssooo much promise true the Lana 5 ep run was a hiccup but once she disappeared it seemed to pickup once more yet all we get is a carbon copy of past Smallville episodes just

how often can they keep bringing out Zod? FFS they had Doomsday to play with!

No they butchered the look. Up until this show we have had brief glimpses, lots of shadows and plenty of spikes.

You were given the impression he looked HUGE which is basically how it should be. What they presented in the last "fight" and I say that term loosely is a guy in a grey suit with a few spikes superglued on. It showed.

Nah, if you look at some of the make-up on Angel (the Beast for instance) it's leagues ahead of this. And that was made five years ago.

I dunno that bit where he caught the car looked pretty good. Though maybe that's why they stopped? Couldn't afford to damage any sets :(
