It looks like I might have to do LFG again this week, (unless a group has a free space or our boot in the bawz group can get together tomorrow) which is looking more and more likely as the weeks go on, as most people are either not playing due to burn out, or groups that are, are full of regulars.

We'll likely have a space in our tuesday group from next week if you're interested?

Drunk Team and the Funky Bunch marches on - Golgaroth heroic down this evening, plus challenge mode Warpriest heroic earlier in the week (which was basically exactly the same as our previous kill except we made sure different people had the brand).

We then celebrated with our now customary group PVP loss in control.

Great stuff on the warpreist lads. Really happy with nearly everyone jumping about 5 light levels for about an hour's work. Not so happy about getting another daft rocket launcher though.

Even snuck in carrying a random 290 to bump over Oryx on NM. He must think this raiding lark is easy.

Destiny's newest limited-time event, the Sparrow Racing League, kicks off tomorrow, bringing with it new opportunities to spend money on microtransactions for items like emotes, developer Bungie announced today.

Two vendors in the Tower will be your go-to officials for the Sparrow Racing League: Amanda Holliday, the Shipwright in the Tower Hangar, and Tess Everis, who runs the Eververse Trading Company. Holliday will give you the SRL License quest, which will reward you with a new Sparrow. She'll also offer SRL bounties, which you can complete to raise your SRL reputation; the higher your rank, the better the postgame drops you'll receive. SRL-exclusive class items and helmets can drop at up to 320 Light, and can be used for infusion. Other gear won't have Light, but will confer racing perks.

The Eververse Trading Company will sell new emotes that "celebrate the thrill of speed and competition"; if the Halloween emotes are anything to go by, expect some more pop culture references. Eververse customers will be able to buy toolkits with new Sparrows, as well as toolkits that let you put horns on your Sparrows. Everis will also sell an item called a record book, which will give players special SRL objectives; completing those tasks will result in exclusive gear like an emblem and a shader.

Looks like Golgo requires a different gaze puller every time. Possibly requires all six orbs too - so a unique puller per orb - but that's not as well-tested. Might not have to be down in one rotation. Anyhow, people have done it that way - see https://www.bungie.net/en/Legend/Gear/2/4611686018449175845/2305843009300795769#equipment for example.

Yeah, as I said yesterday, based on how they restricted the War Priest, that was the most likely scenario.

The different orb thing as well would be more interesting as if it's just a different gaze puller, you can still run single pool.

Productive evening with hard warpriest challenge and then a normal Oryx for good measure.

Ended up with 320 artifact, 320 rockets, 310 & 315 snipers, 300 boots and the emblem.

Cheers to all involved.

Yeah cheers, felt 'productive' getting so much stuff. Ended up infusing the RLs into the 310 machine gun so that's up to 320. very cool gun.

i'll upload the warpriest take down later so we can see exactly how clutch it was as it all went to shit there with people dying left right and centre.

I'd like to see that, I'm sure I somehow survived holding the brand for the final run, and i'm usually appaling at that!

Different gaze puller?

Oh god Oh god Oh god Oh god Oh god Oh god Oh god Oh god etc

Gaze is the easiest bit of the fight! ;)

Grab gaze with sniper shot, shoot orbs ( they come out in sets of 4 ) with your primary or a heavy machine gun, count down at the end, that's it.

If you keep Golgorath in front of you with no obstacles in the way, the orbs should come out in a straight line & be a piece of cake to shoot.

Yup, and confirmed - just watched a live stream. Seems to need a different gaze puller each time, so you'll each need to be assigned an orb in order. The team I watched did all 6 orbs but didn't kill him, then did a second round using the same order and killed him on the second orb in that round. Obviously you need to dive into the pool after you've finished your gaze and join the damage dealers. One of the damager dealers has to jump out and grab the next gaze, and so on. You'll need someone to be on adds - makes sense to me for that person just to stay on that duty, so probably the person who got the gaze first and jumps down to join after that.

It's not actually confirmed that you need to do all six orbs or if, for example, you could jump out after five as long as you kept the method above going (if for example, the 6th guy fails to get the gaze).

And yeah, another 320 artefact, and one of Golgo's armour drops will be 320, plus the usual hard and normal armour rolls.

Weekly Nightfall: This week’s strike is the Shield Brothers with modifiers Specialist, Chaff, Fresh Troops, and Airborne. Specialist gives you bonus damage when using special weapons. Chaff disables your radar. Fresh Troops increases the number of enemies in some squads. Airborne makes it so you deal more damage while in the air.

I don't think it'll be too bad, having the gaze is nothing like having the aura for WP, once you've got it, it's simple.

Also, from the post above, it sounds like there might not be an issue with doing more than one cycle on Golgorath so technically you might still be able to do single pool, just switching orb / pool each time, which makes things much easier again.

If you had to do it on a single cycle, with jumping in & out of the pools then yeah, it would be an absolute nightmare.
