Nirwen's dropped at 280 and it's the best legendary pulse rifle in the game, pretty much. The one good thing about being above 310 light is that anything 310 or lower is automatic infusion fodder so getting a great 280, or 290, up to snuff isn't actually all that hard. I got Nirwen's up to 310 with some spare raid weapons and a spare last word. Had them all lying around so it wasn't a grind at all, really.

The pursuit of 320 is the grind. The drop value of iron banner and vanguard stuff isn't, because if you're hunting for 320 you're going to be swimming in infusion mats for whatever you might want to level. Unless it's heavy weapons. I have no heavy weapons.

Thats all well and done if you consistently do KF on hard, as the normal loot drops are so rng dependant that 7/10 times you'll probably end up with 300 light stuff. Your "spare" raid weapons are other peoples dreams seen as Oryx is a miserly twat on normal, so I dread to think what he's like on hard.

I am pursuing trying to get over 310, thats my grind. Makes iron banner redundant to me unfortunately. I have spare 310 exotics for fusion fodder in primary and specials, no heavies, havent had a single heavy engram drop at all.

Not that I know of. I've had a 317 helm of saint 14 drop from a silver trials package, which I'm sure Gorf will be in soon to say how unlucky I was, but I dont think you can get 320 stuff from exotic engrams, unless your 320 *maybe*, which no-one can get to anyway as there is no 320 artifact.

I can only dream of spare 310 primary weapons, all I ever get is special weapons (and even they've dried up now) it seems, which become useless after a while.

I've done hard mode about four times, I think. I don't really care for it.

I think it's been statistically proven that one normal mode King's Fall run yields an average of 15 fusion rifles, though. If the banner reward is a sniper next week (it'll be that or a shotgun imo, to maximise interest) I will only need look down the back of the sofa where I will find enough Midha's Reckonings to build a boat out of. Even if you can't get something you like the look of from 280 to 315, you can at least make it competitive easily enough. Right? I dunno.

Time played is a big factor in this stuff, admittedly, but after a mad first few weeks I'm not playing this much at all at the Mormon. Leaving that, as it's the best autocorrect ever.

Fuck this shit. Fuck bungie, fuck RNG. 8 weeks I've had a 280 ghost I've done three runs at the raid and spent hours in the court of oryx... 265 is the best I've had drop. Also fuck this week's nightfall bag of shit. Grrrr fucking piloting xwings and snow speeders next week I'm done with this shit*

Same cuntish RNG as Destiny tho, had 15 magic coins today, 3 pulls on the Godfest REM this morning netted me bigger all of any use. Today was login day 750 for me!

Day 750 and still rolling! Yikes. I got my 700 day bonus this morning and I'm keeping it. Recently realised that new monsters aren't what I need - skillups and plus eggs on my existing teams are what will get me through the proper endgame stuff. Magic stones are for stamina regen and continues in important dungeons.

Oh right, Destiny. Almost, almost got to Mercury last night. Had the very first match not been an enormous lagfest we'd have done it. I feel like we're getting closer every week, at least.

Would you suggest shotguns over snipers on this map? Any good tips for tactics?

We were one shotgun (me) and two snipers. They had a better time of it than me for sure - there are a lot of indoor areas so you'd think it'd be a shotgun map, but apart from B and a couple of tunnels there's a lot of open space. Sniper with a short range scope is probably the way to go.

Generally speaking we always had at least one person heading towards B with the other(s) heading around one of the sides. Found we did much better when we switched approach every single round, win or lose (most weeks we'll run pretty much the same play until the other lot proves it's not going to work anymore). I think because B has three points of entry it's a smart decision to keep changing up and keeping the other team guessing. B itself is a mental place to go given how exposed it is but it's definitely the chokepoint.

Man I love trials.

Can any of you better players spare an hour tonight please. We are up to daughters of oryx and have never had enough firepower for oryx. Could anyone help us rinse these two fuckers on normal mode? Cheers

I will try help, but it definetely wont be tonight, that may end up in a divorce (which actually sounds nice).

Apologies to Curtis; I think he sent me a message the other day about doing the nightfall strike and I said I was kind of underpowered (which I kind of am)... but I was also on a Warsat hunt for the Ikelos fusion core. However, I got really lucky with public events and found each of the remaining bits, and today (after several deaths) I went on to do the strike part of the quest, so yay. :)

With Sleeper Simulant, it's now 290. I think I tried Y2 Nightfalls early on, realised there was a big power gap and hadn't bothered to try again until I'd improved a bunch of things :lol:
