I'm finding Jolly Holiday "ok" - 66% at the moment and think I'll have it done in a few more games. I've just been doing classic 6v6.

Oh man, what do I know. Lost 20% last night. Every match seemed to have groups of 3 on the other team, all with the 9 - 0 Trials emblem, just absolutely wrecking the place.

Being the top PvP in our group of friends, the forum and possibly the world - I give you my guarantee to always work some of the time tactic.

Rift. (I did it when the Daily)

Smaller maps, 6 people, less interest in you if not carrying the orb, normally one "funnel point" as people go for the spark etc.

The Vex one or the Dark Cathedral was great. Use grenades/super/rockets for a 5+ kill streak (and possibly a few multi kills) and you get insane progress quickly.

I basically had 3 matches in the afternoon where I got ~40% progress in one streak and in the rest of the matches (and a couple of filler in between) was spent just maintain the figure or limiting my loss.

If I want to team up with any of you chaps in the clan... How do I do that? There doesn't seem to be any way in the game to allow inter clan chat and meetings or am I missing something?

Nope - the clan is really just a badge (and the two trophies you get for completing a strike/raid with a team consisting of clan members only). There's a clan 'wall', but why use it when we have a whole forum here? So that's what you do - just post here. Or, for more involved arrangements like setting up a raid group, use the online folder. Or if someone's on patrol or something while you're on, just jump in. Obviously, make sure to add as many people as possible to your PSN friends list so you can see what people are up to in-game.

Just start adding everyone as friends and joining their fireteam. For instance we were needing 2 people last night for a normal KF raid and took us about 30mins of inviting everyone to get enough.

Part of my problem is that it's quite hard for me to know for certain that at, say, 8pm tonight I'll be sat down in front of Destiny. With two young kids and stuff, I'm not able to be as reliable as that and don't want to annoy people...

A lot of us do 10pm raids due to that very reason.

There's no easy way to bulk add friends on PSN I don't think. Unless you go through someone's friend list and add lots of people you recognise from this thread? Alternatively there's a shared doc in the first page of this thread with (nearly) everyone's PSN ID in it.

Got absolutely shafted from HM Kings Fall raid runs this week. The only "good" things to drop in three HM runs to Oryx were a 315 MG (I already had a 313 one so not that much better) and a 320 ghost (I already have a 320 one thanks!). The rest of it was pretty much all mouldy fecking shards and a few 300-307 normal mode drops which is all worse than I already have.

I've made pretty much zero progress in the last two weeks and I'm really loosing my patience with this now. The new drop system seems much worse than the old raids and their promise of a smart loot system was absolute bollocks. I don't want all the loot in single run but there has to be a better way than this. We ran Oryx checkpoint on normal last night and not one of us got a primary weapon even though we all lost 20 shards.

Thanks for all the 300-307 raid fusion riles though Bungie, I have 10 of them now, I think that's enough.

I don't understand why shards are even in the HM loot table since they have been made completely irrelevant by Hard Mode itself. I expect they'll patch in a use for them at some point, but at the moment they're clearly just there to make up for when both RNG rolls decide you get nothing. Except you might as well get nothing. Weird.

I normally get 2 shards for my 20 on normal mode.

We ran a hour or so of Normal KF last night and it really felt like a complete waste of time, terrible drops and more shards.

Bungie need to get out of this constant loop of making a good raid, and then completely making it pointless once you get to a certain level.

i have that problem mecha. i was starting to worry because I also type a lot for work. so after a long day at work and a big raid session my trigger finger was really suffering. I recently bought a modded pad but has yet to arrive so can't recommend it yet. but I try to never use high rate of fire low impact weapons. i always use high impact. put no time to explain away and pick the fwc pulse rifle or reath death.

I'm a software developer so type all day, same issue.

Easiest way is probably via the PSN app or the Destiny community.

They need to make VoG and Crota relevant again. The Vault in particular is just sitting there, it's plenty of fun but completely pointless. Why isn't Bungie doing anything with them? It really defies all logic.

The Vault is so abandoned that Fallen and Taken are doing the Raid now.

Kinda scumbag question but... am I right in thinking content on The Taken King disc is identical to the original Destiny release?

My TKK showed up yesterday and I redeemed the code and spent all night downloading the big patch, so it was this morning before I could boot it and learn that the disc could not be read. It’d been loose in the case and has a number of wee scratches which I thought were OK but apparently not. Tempted to return for a cheeky refund and pick up a cheap second-hand vanilla disc now if that’ll work.

The raid is so fun. Last night we just had a good laugh doing oryx and chatting. We wiped numerous times (one hit left on the witches and I had no idea how to slam dunk!) but everyone just got on and we tried again.

I must say its one of my favourite gaming social experiences Iv ever had. That Rambo bloke was a great help too (much more than the LFG people)
