Destiny: FIN

Gorf King

Recommended Posts

Gorf doesnt do the jumping as far as I know, not on Oryx anyway. And my light is now 309 after getting the arms off hm Golgoroth, higher than a few other people in the raid. Its just the RNG is utter cack.

Yeah, I don't do the voluntary jumping bits. It's just RNG and back luck.

We completed up to Sisters on HM tonight - we were nowhere near high enough level to tackle Oryx seriously, so quit at that point. None of us had run normal mode this week, and the sisters' chest gave three of us... absolutely nothing at all. Not a single drop at either level; not even a shard or something. So yeah, it's bad luck. But I have to put the emphasis on bad here.

I was playing a bit of Control earlier to complete my last Mask quest (funny how doing them all triggers nothing but what you get for just playing the normal game anyway), and saw this:

Purple%20Hawkmoon.jpg

Looks great, going by the stats - a purple baby Hawkmoon, just like the text implies. Has anyone got one? Is it as good as it sounds? If so, I might have to spam Crucible trying for one, for when they un-nerf hand cannons; all the others are a bit shit, even those rated as good from Armsday deals. (I just dismantled my Armsday Primo Roll Judith today. Piece of crap.) But this looks like it might be the business, and I'd never heard of it before it dropped here.

(Mind, if they did fix hand cannons, I'd probably just go to Hawkmoon again.)

Right, with Halo 5 done I'm going to get back involved. I stopped playing Destiny a couple of months after its release. When I boot it now it says 'the taken king', what do I need to do/purchase to get all the new stuff?

Edit: browsing through this thread I feel completely lost!

Do you own the year 1 expansions? If you do, you can upgrade to The Taken King edition via the digital store on your console of choice for £40.

If you don't, then buy the disc version with everything on it, simply games were the cheapest around launch, dunno if that is still the case.

Thanks. I have the digital version on both 360 and Bone. I don't think I've bought anything since the release of the core game.

OK, you'd be best buying the disc version then. £35 on amazon for XBone. Pretty sure when I set my boy up on Xbox you got one code in the box that unlocked all the expansions. You'll probably not need to use the disc since you own the vanilla game digitally.

Damn the Alchemist Raiment is Arc again.

Since I'm going Fire-Warlock in Raids with Tlaloc really wanted a fire one. Might have attempt a re-roll on my current 296 one

Apparently the perks on the one you can buy from the blueprint terminal change every day, so you could just wait on that.

I'm 98% sure that they haven't changed once since exotic blueprints became a thing. Unfortunately.

@Hexx: buy some glass needles. You get 3 per purchase. And given it would cost you exotic shards to infuse a new exotic chest, it's definitely the right thing to do.

So if I get this, I'll be all set?

If you have both consoles, and you've only played the vanilla content, I'd seriously consider just buying the Legendary Edition for PS4. Like LeChuck says, the number of players here on PS4 far outweighs the Xbox players - plus, of course, your mate. Then there's the timed exclusive content (the PS4-only strike is a good one, and some of the weapons are good too) - a small benefit, but it's there. And the PS4 edition is only £31.95 at the Games Collection - cheaper than the Xbox version. With the new levelling systems it'd take very little time to get through the vanilla content (and in fact you can just instantly boost to the level you'd be at, more or less, by the end of that), so you're not losing much by switching.

That all sounds great but unfortunately I don't have a PS4.

Forever alone it is.

Hey! There are a fair few of us playing on Xbox! Stop trying to steal another one away to PS4 land! You've got enough!

Cool, I was just about to page Boners to the thread.

I will happily be part of the rebellion.

I was on the 360 at first and there were like three of us. It was still good.

22? That's nothing. With TTK you have a boost that takes you to 25 instantly, and getting to 40 tales no time at all. Especially when playing with friends.

Search your feelings...

Argh stop.

You see the fact of the matter is I will prob get a PS4 at some point.

Shit why am I looking at PS4 deals?
