I'll actually pay for it, and won't feel like a chump at all - it's been great fun tonight. Like playing a hybrid of Halo and Animal Crossing.

My favourite outfit at the moment for sneaking up on people and going 'boo':

BOO!

Dismantle masks, yesssss?

(I can't bring myself to dismantle them :( - I wonder how much Silver they'll charge for infinite vault space?)

Yeah I can't bring myself to dismantle any either, apart from dupes. Still have a few bits of year one armour in the vault.

What a fun evening. So cool seeing loads of engrams and Crotas in crucible, doing public events with tigers etc. Bumped into two other big cats on the moon, we did zombie dances and touch of malice suicides until the devil walker arrived. Just need cryptarch and speaker and my warlock's done.

The Atheon thing is just great too.

Nightfall is Sunless Cell with Epic, Void Burn, Brawler, Juggler and Iron Clad.

That Shrieker room will be fun

No Time To Explain quest has ticked over for those that didn't get the ghosts until last week, by which I mean apologies in advance for trying to persuade my raid group to run VOG instead of King's Fall tonight.

I finally broke under peer pressure and picked up a PS4 and Destiny yesterday. Joining in the middle of a holiday event made things even more overwhelming than perhaps they usually are!

Is there anything from the event that would be useful for levelling? Or is it all cosmetic bits and bobs?

Maybe armour set for protection against void burn will counter that.

Maybe.

Maybe not, I reckon. I played with Solar burn armour in a previous Nightfall, and I felt like it made sod all difference.

I'll be taking out all bar the furthest away shriekers for sure when I do it. Then try a run.

I just survived a Shrieker blast on the NF with Solar armour on my Sunbreaker*. Just make sure your subclass is specced for max armour too.

*Centurion from afar finished me off, mind.

"Fast" not really.

The best spot I found was the Mausoleum - running round the side rooms which each spawn a chest (and couple of chest spawns in middle) was still a while, but a nice tight route.

I'm Level 32 at the moment and trying to rattle up to 40 asap. I've joined the rllmuk clan so any raids or strikes going tonight I am up for them! I've no mic though in case that's an issues.

Do you not get one packaged in the box with a PS4? That little ear bud thing? That does the job.

If not, you should definitely see about getting one, it makes the world of difference to this game.

So the first sword quest, is there a fast way to get the required items from the dreadnought?

If you get bored of farming (you will) you can do some Court of Orxy and complete the weekly dreadnaught bounty that pops up. These will rank up with Eris, where there's a chance of getting 10+ Hadium flakes from the reward package. That might depend on your rank with Eris, mind.

How do you get into court of oryx? Is it a mission? Womble add me I'm level 260 and can help

Dreadnought patrol. Go left at the start, you can't miss it, its a big platform thing with statues in front of it. You will need some runes to pop into the statues to start encounters if you don't have any you can still get some rewards (and runes) by helping others do their runes in the court.

25 crucible kills with my sword for the first quest. I don't play crucible, is it painfully slow this one?

The "easiest" way to get these is in Mayhem Clash, due to far more heavy ammo drops. Hexx suggested this to me, but I didn't believe him until I'd got 6 sword kills in my first match*; it really is much better for them.

* I only scored a single sword kill in the next match, but we won't talk about that.

Anyone need it also and fancy playing rumble/kill each other?

I will later on.

Tried that last night. Managed 1 kill.

The bastards that take the heavy before anyone else gets there, hates em.

But you don't technically need the Heavy Ammo, you can Hilt them to death.

The "cheesiest" way is to find two mates, go into Rumble, get them to run into a certain spot when they respawn (until someone twigs what you're doing and starts going there too, at which point switch meeting point), then kill them with the hilt. It's two hits, you don't need the heavy ammo, and it still counts as a sword kill.

With a bit of luck it'll only take you 2-3 games. :)

I need this too Baring, shoot me an invite if you spot me

Also looking to do the Court of Oryx T2&T3 fragments there's no bugger there every time I head over, up to 39 fragments now that ToM is within reach!
