Why do so many people turn an opportunity to photograph a nice object into a selfie with the interesting object partially blocked by a head? Attention. Look at me, look at me, I am original, notice me, pay attention to me.

All the year 1 exotics are on the armoury at 310+ light, including The Armamentarium for Titans (which will be my go to exotic again most likely when its released) which seems to have special and heavy ammo as one perk rather than one or the other (not sure if that's how it will be on release mind).

What's this now?

No more elemental primaries - http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=182703638&postcount=6755

Thought as much. Only reason for doing hard kings fall now seems to be extra light for Iron Banner/Trials and the ship (assuming it actually drops at present, seen as lots of other stuff currently isn't).

Edit: HM shader

Way better than Crota's HM "I wanna look like I'm wearing armour made of soap".

We got to Oryx and got a bit tired and grumpy, then switched to alts and got to Oryx again and just got tired.

It's excellent. Like normal mode difficulty comes from puzzles, not crazy mobs of overlevelled enemies. There are more of them in places, and some of them are tougher, but it all feels very fair. Especially when I wiped halfway through the daughters fight, the others finished it off and I woke up and hoovered up four loot drops including a 319 class item. I am so good at this game.

Well (as Nate said) we got to Oryx twice tonight on the hard raid, up to then it seems ok nothing crazy.

Still working on a better strategy for Oryx though as it seems pretty demanding on execution and timing. Plus being under levelled doesnt help as you are killing things slowly. It can obviously be done at around 310 light (which some of us are) but I think 315+ is where it will be comfortable).

For a change I got decent drops, 319 Ghost and the Harrowed Machine Gun at 315 so far (beast!), not done Golgoroth yet and I'm up to 309 light.

We done fairly well considering we were a man down and his replacement was slightly under levelled and new to our methods. Give it another go on Sunday.

I've worked my way up to almost 280 Light now, but I'm not sure I'm playing it 'right'. I mean, I know I'm playing it right because I'm absolutely loving it, but in terms of the gear acquisition/upgrades/dismantling etc I don't have much of a clue. My current policy is to dismantle any gear that I don't want on the spot, and to retain at least one version of each weapon type. I haven't used a single Mote to date, and don't really know what I should be investing them in, nor have I infused any weaponry. I'm tackling the Heroic Strikes as a means of acquiring new stuff but they are starting to get a bit repetitive and wonder which other game types are decent for grabbing gear and engrams. Anyway, any advice, guidance or moral support would be very welcome. My PSN ID is SeeSee64 if anyone fancies teaming up and showing me the ropes (I'm a member of the PSN Community, too).

Court Of Oryx should see you to 290, one of the Eris quests ends in a 300 artefact & it drops loads of blues, etc. Remember to keep checking after each one & equip it if it is higher, rather than decrypting everything at once.

Once you get to 290+, you'll need to be raiding to make any serious gains
