The Titan jump's best feature is that you can glide along at the same speed as sprinting, whilst simultaneously reloading your weapon. I use that all the time. I miss not having blink in crucible though, I use that to get out of trouble a lot.

Calls for nerfs and buffs aside, it's odd that some people don't seem able to tell the difference between a CC super and a single-target one. 'But you can close down this single player with a one-shot super designed for crowds - ergo the game is balanced!' 'Why do Hunters get more than one GG shot - my Space Magic only destroys everything in a large area once!'

It's almost as if it's not just Bungie who haven't fully tested the combat balance in Destiny.

could we please stop with the jumping nonsense! I am trying to avoid work here and every time I look at the thread someone whose opinion I value is talking bollocks about the Titan jump. The warlock jump is objectively the best one because it provides the most control over your jump by far. You can slide up, down and horizontally. If you get bored with it (because it is too perfect) you can start blinking away to your heart's content. I know I am factually correct, don't make me embed a spreadsheet and start posting links to reddit.

I was of course saying it in jest, no aim GG is the best super tho - there aren't even 7 players to kill for a Titan and space magic gets stuck on twigs too much these days :(

Warlock jump is best assuming you press the button twice, its the worst jump in the world if you mistime that second button press!

The thing is with classes is that I started with the hunter and it was obv the best until I tried a Warlock and that is of course the best, Titans - well I'm sure they have nice personalities....

I'll move talk about to Sunbreaker's super for you Oz.

What annoys me is that a direct tether hit neither takes them out of super or kills them. Now that's annoying.

I've been tethered in my super loads. No idea what you mean. Its rather annoying as the range on the bloody tether can be ridiculous sometimes, and often cant seem to make its mind up, tethering me yet a guy on my team right next to me is free to move

I have missed all the new emote buying this week because I've been away. There goes 500 silver from me as well (or however much that emote is). Plus dancing, slow clap, scheming, blowing kisses, etc. Overall, between marmite's scuf gaming post and all the emote videos, it has been a very expensive forum week for me.

I think I may have reached critical Destiny mass already. Logged on Wednesday, just didn't feel like doing anything. No motivation to level up other classes or even hunt for exotics. I don't know if having a regular raid group would help, I would just so that then log off again.

Don't get me wrong. TTK has been great, lots of good stuff across the board. I just have Destiny fatigue again like after HoW. Done the raid once, good enough for me, not interested in PvP at all. Had a load of fun with it mind.

Anyone else fell the same? Sounds like you guys are still into it as much as ever.

To tether a Sunbreaker, the Nightstalker has to miss and wait for the tether to activate. A direct hit (which I'm pretty sure kills everyone else all the time) doesn't activate the tether. Now that needs fixing.

That Titan jumped out of range of the tether (best jump, after all!), you can see them momentarily tethered just after you died. If you'd shot the tether at the floor or wall closer to to where they were heading / landing they would've been caught by it.

 It was a direct hit! Or what do you think it hit when it exploded in the air - a passing seagull?

But if he'd backed off away from heavy and shot at the floor he would've tethered the Titan and not taken the hit from the hammer. He could have just chucked the tether out early down the corridor too too, if he was predicting him to come around the corner at him (which would've been a wise choice since heavy just appeared). Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

It's a new Super, you'll learn how to deal with it in time. Just like that OP Year 1 Bladedancer.

I was under the impression the Tether worked more instantly than that video shows.

It's clear the Tether does rob the Sunbreaker of the rest of his Super. It seems unfair that, having hit the Titan with a direct Tether hit, he can still Hammer you before the Tether takes effect.

I still don't agree that the Sunbreaker is too OP.

I've already noticed I'm getting shut down more often when I pop my super, or that the other team knows better to scatter and leave me there holding my useless hammer.

But I do wonder whether, rather than nerf Sunbreakers, a couple of other power buffs might be useful. Like the Tether being instant. Or possibly Golden Gun damage. Like, I assume Celestial Nighthawk one-shots a Sunbreaker. Should a normal one? Dunno.

But yeah, Titans are about holding territory. A Sunbreaker is supposed to be this mobile tank. Stay away from them!

Aye, just wait until the super is over, then, to beat it.

You also said the Titan 'jumped out of the way' of the super. He didn't. He was hit point blank by it, but didn't die. He also wasn't tethered by it immediately, so he could kill his attacker even though his attacker reacted quicker, and took the perfect shot with a super designed not only to kill but to shut down other supers. Against a Sunbreaker neither of those things work.

Your suggested workaround is to deliberately miss your shots with your super, and then wait. And then, once tethered, presumably kill the Titan who of course isn't still shooting at you. Now that might work, but in a game where, as you say, 'a super can be countered with a super', that sounds a bit broken to me. Because if you're the Titan, you don't have to deliberately miss, or wait until your super actually does something. You just chuck that hammer and the other guy dies.

I think everyone here who isn't wedded to Titanness knows the Sunbreaker super is a bit... off-balance. So aye, let's just leave it at that. It'll get dialled down - or other supers will get dialled up - and you know it. Because the reviled Bladedance did, after all, and you cited that as OP too. So I can't see Bungie introducing something OP like this and then just leaving it in its current state.

It's not my video, not that it matters.

The guy in the vid could have tethered the ground and tried to back away, but from the looks of it, the tether would not have acted in time before death given the relative positions of them both.

It's hard to see what that guy could have done differently to survive. From the moment he hears the "dong" (down the alley way from the heavy) I think he's dead. Which is a bit harsh, considering he's sitting on a tether.

It's reasonable to want the tether to either kill (which it usually does) or at least activate instantly on a direct hit?
