This First Curse quest might have just broke destiny for me, utterly joyless. A 7 kill spree you say? shouldnt be too hard in PvE. Oh, the gun only has 6 rounds...well i suppose if i can activate triple tap that'll give me the extra round...now i just need to find somewhere with 7 enemies close to each other, hit 3 headshots, then hit another 4 kills without missing a shot...Ah! thralls will be good for this. Well theywould be if they came out in more than packs of 6. Fuck it, i've got plenty Hand Cannons anyway. Oh and fuck off bungie you giant trolls, Halo is out next week anyway.

There's room I found earlier whilst patrolling the moon that might help you out. Near the start point, go into the Hive area in the pit (with the two yellow knights guarding the entrance) then work your way beyond the circular area with the wizard. Somewhere just off that I found a small round room with about 8-10 acolytes tightly packed and just chilling. Near Circle Of Bones, I think it was called.

Did that bit on Fist Of Crota in about a minute. The pvp bit, though, ugh. Closest I've got so far is five kills. It has no range, no stability, terrible rate of fire and a tiny clip. Played three games and had three messages from randoms asking if i wanted to boost it. Says a lot really.

A few of us just went in Rumble and got it done in 2 games. Cant be arsed messing about with that in Crucible when it can be done easy like that. I just could not see it being any fun.

Anyone fancy doing the nightfall today? I can do it on 2 characters at the moment (will need to do it on my Warlock at some point this week for the shotgun).

That's all you need, it's just kill 7 with precision hits in a row not within 5 seconds, the triple tap will proc after 3 giving you the extra shot, take your time to line up the shots and it will be done in no time.

I started reloading it last night in preparation for Hard Mode on Friday, should be ready in time.

I've taken 2 weeks off from Destiny through circumstances out of my control and I think it's hold may be broken. I finally got around to playing Arkham Knight yesterday followed by some Life Is Strange, then The Walking Dead season 1.

Ironically, given that list, it feels like I'm playing in the light again.

Hmm, mine's still there - although I did the ghosts bit in last week's Daily, not this week's. Still, bummer.

I guess most people who had the quest already probably did VoG last night, but if anyone hasn't, I have an Atheon checkpoint ready to go tonight thanks to Bonzai. So if anyone fancies that at about 7 or 8 tonight, let me know. I'll stick a thread in online.

How many runs did it take? I gave up after about 20, I want the thing desperately but not that much (maybe if they patch Omnigul to be 3oC-compatible). Jimtendo's been doing it for about a fortnight too with no drop.

Maybe 15-20, we had about two tries before the bond dropped, a bit of a drought, then I got the Pulse, made my excuses & left lol. It's better than the hopscotch IMO.

In short, the thumbsticks on my PS4 have worn out. Is there a commonly accepted best fix/replacement? I'm aware that Scuff make (expensive) custom controllers (don't think they sell the thumbsticks on their own though). I've seen Kontrol Freeks mentioned as a good option.

Anyone had a similar problem and found a good fix? Its come to the point where I actually blamed my controller for failing a section of the raid last night!!

Soi from my regular raid group has been singing that gun's praises. But no, I don't have a hunter. Not yet anyway.

Yeah - it's got awesome range (i.e. great aim assist -feels like a pre-nerf HC in terms of accuracy), firefly (always good) and a perk that means that precision kills move one shot directly from your reserves into the mag.

Xbone sticks, they fit are better and last - my xbone sticks have lasted longer than my first PS4 pad...

Buy some xbox one sticks on ebay/amazon and install them. They are amazing and sit a few mm higher than ps4 sticks.

I didnt do the change myself, I bought the controller that way from the forum.

No probs. Harsin got a mate to help and I got a pair of boots at 303 or something, so definitely better rewards.

I should point out its now worth doing the crucible weekly bounties, as they've also buffed Shaxx's rewards to be the same quality as the nightfalls, and also drops ghosts.

I bought replacement sticks from ebay for 3 quid. Easy to fit and work perfectly.
