You just know they are going to put plenty of Taken Captains in there. Wouldn't put it past them having tons of Shriekers in the ship jump room too.

Someone pointed out to me the sight on the Black Spindle isn't properly aligned and now I can't unsee it.

Depends on how close you are to 300. If you are going to hit it soon, then by all means save the engrams to see if you get 310 gear. I did, and got lucky with all three engrams turning 310.

If not, well you can always try to infuse them up later. Depends if you really want Telesto or Saint-14 or something.

Is The Stag worth picking up from Xur if I don't PvP or raid?

It looks cool so has that going for it!

It has marginal utility in pve when you are the last one alive. Personally I'd save the coins and wait for it to drop. It's an average roll anyway.

5th time of doing some of the raid and still no ghost drop so I'm still stuck using the vanguard one, I thought they said they were addressing the crap drop rate of ghosts compared to everything else? To make matters worse, the five other people I was doing the raid with tonight all had it drop. Fuck this shitty RNG.

I feel your pain. I've not done the raid as much but still lack the ghost and am stuck with the 280 vanguard one. I've been told court of oryx drops higher level ghosts as well, although I've had no joy despite running all three levels multiple times.

On a more positive note I did beat oryx last night joining a fireteam to fill a gap wasn't ideal as I've not really done much of the rest of the raid so it feels a bit ruined now but hey got two 300+ weapons.

I use Stormcaller until daughters at which point it's Sunsinger til the end, though mostly for insurance and now I know the fights a bit better I'm thinking about using Voidwalker which would be more helpful to the team.

I spec Voidwalker for mega agility and switch to it for the jumping sections if only to save time fannying about in menus. In terms of guns it's whatever you're comfortable with until Daughters, at which point it's Touch Of Malice all the way. High impact sniper is my secondary throughout, and exotic sword in the heavy slot. Used to use an HMG for Golgororth but doesn't really feel necessary anymore.

Really want that IB Pulse Rifle. My Herja-D is quite similar and it's very very good in crucible. The IB version, with that extra stability, and Third Eye, should be amazing.

Well worth grinding to rank 5 for, as I got it today & it's pretty awesome. With The Last Word & Hopscotch Pilgrim nerfs I've been struggling to find a reliable primary for PvP but think I've found it with the Iron Banner pulse.

All afternoon I had been getting 1 weapon part when dismantling all the shite that was dropping, came out of court of oryx, went to tower to get a repeat booting in the bawz from the cryptarch.... Was getting 2 and 3 from blues again, and 4 from a legendary.

Only been getting 1 from every gun after the patch dropped.

If you level with telemetries and motes you'll get more weapon parts back. Wait until you've got plenty of weapons (and parts, obvs). Pop a telemetrty for each weapon type and feed them motes, swap out for more weapons once they're done. Equipping blue armour at the same time will give you more motes of light back too.

Legendary weapons will give you back more parts, motes and 5 marks. If you're struggling for motes, cash in some Strange Coins with Xur.

Found an interesting way to boost your Iron Banner reputation gains. Not sure if it works mind.

Complete all of your bounties
Run 3-4 strikes to get the vanguard buff - this buff supposedly works for all reputations while its active
Then turn them in while you have the buff

This will (apparently) give you near double the reputation from your bounties and is very helpful for those who don't want to grind IB as much. Obviously wear shader, emblem and class item at time of turning them in.

Will see if I can test later.

Tried out my new 310 Jade Rabbit after levelling it up.

Found it to be fine for PvE, but absolutely horrid in Crucible, specifically Iron Banner. It seemed to be ok at killing enemies far away, but the Boolean outperforms it in all other engagements thanks to its good solid stability (when specced for it) high rate of fire and the need for consistent headshots giving you the agility buff (which as a Titan is invaluable) rather than body shots to boost the next headshot, which is just counter productive on a scout in Crucible I find. Zen Moment on the Jade Rabbit also does not make up for its really low stability, which means the gun kicks like a mule when that's exactly the opposite of what you want in PvP.

Might have to infuse it into my Boolean as a result sadly. I was well chuffed when I got the Rabbit off Oryx too :(

I've bought the Wolf head cloak, I've had 2 side arms drop, one at rank 3 and one after I got to rank 4.

Different rolls and elements... None as good as the one being sold.

I'm gonna buy the pulse too as the roll looks ace.

Bloody ace little gun isn't it - I'm normally an auto rifle kind of guy but been enjoying this one immensely past few days - only got it out to clear some precision kill bounties

Mines only 280 still - should really feed it something

I tried my jade rabbit in normal crucible (rumble daily) and it was better than I expected.

Still cant decide on my goto crucible primary at the moment, been using the zhalo mostly and it does a decent job.

Probably spend a bit of time using the touch of malice to try it.

I am going to give the thorn a shot in iron banner, just for the giggles (might be a very short experiment to be fair, but, fuck it).

Pulse rifles still dont rub my tickly bit, even though the chord thingy with headseeker and full auto... Still bloody burst fire it out of habit.

Edit : would be a 287 with my set up and thorn, will try it laters (if I get on).

I was gonna T-bag you after I got killed checking the roster, I was thinking, I recognise that name, checked it and seen it was you, dead when I got out the menu. That game got me over Rank 4 and finished my weekly bounties off :P

Trying to do the planet missions with the Taken on alts at present seems to be a real ball ache. Never anyone on Venus it seems, at least when I am on my lock. Only need 1 champion there too. Had 1 other there earlier but he legged it when the Taken showed up :facepalm:
