Heroic strikes give you better drops on general. Plus exotics from Three of Coins.

You can still run it for motes and coins. Three of Coins works on the level 28 boss too. They actually broke the sound with TTK, so they need to fix that.

If you're really, genuinely getting upset over RNG at the end of a Nightfall maybe you should play something else?

You can use Three of Coins on any level of strike to get exotics, not just heroic ones.

I'm not getting upset over it, I'm just not wasting my time on them any more and the fact the creative director has admitted that the rewards are poor now and they are fixing it proves many people feel the same.

As for the whole "But it's fun!" debate, more often than not they are fun, yeah. But sometimes they're no fun at all - Undying Mind with Solar burn a few weeks back. :hmm:

I'm not disagreeing for the sake of it, I genuinely thought that was bloody brilliant.

I do yes, which is why I've not got it, only prob with the one mentioned is the stability is half as much compared to Hung Jury.

It's a very good gun. I had Not Like The Others Drop with very similar stats to the vendor one, but without Explosive Rounds, and it's excellent. The damage does stack (relatively briefly), and it carried me from the first couple of days of Year 2, all the way through my first two Raid completions.

Then I infused it into my Hung Jury.

They're very similar guns, and you're not much better off with one or the other, but I just like (the look, feel and perks of) Hung Jury better.

Personally I think they fixed something that wasn't broken. It was a change for change's sake. The original setup was more rewarding, as you at the very least had some strange coins and an XP buff for the rest of the week.

I'm probably one of the few people that actually liked the fact the Nightfall used to send you back to orbit if you all wiped. The rewards you got were well worth the risk and I've no idea why they changed it from that. Interesting to see what they do to the rewards now.

Me and a mate tried doing it with a random the first time I did it and by sheer stroke of luck, all three of us needed solar, so it was a pretty straightforward and painless fight. I have however heard the stories of people needing an element each..

If you're doing arc or void and it's around 1ish or earlier, drop me a line drood.

Nice, cheers. We are doing an Arc and a Solar. So half way do-able :eyebrows:

Are fragments account wide? Cos that site doesn't let you choose difft characters. Anyway, looks like I missed a couple post Golgoroth. If anyone has a checkpoint there, and invite me in just for the fragments, that's be super.

The game actually tells you how many fragments you have on each character, bottom right on the map for the dreadnaught on the destination screen. My hunter it says 45, on titan just 2

As droodling said, they're character-specific but that site goes by the grimoire cards that unlock the first time you find each fragment so there's no way of knowing which character found which fragment. :(

Am I nuts or is there an emote removed? I swear there was one called Oh, Please or something like that. I even talked about thinking of purchasing it to my usual raid team.

Edit: Never mind, it is in the shop. I am not nuts, just blind.

That was me. And you're right, I shouldn't use nasty derogatory terms like that. My apologies.

Same with me. Wrote it without thinking. Sorry guys.

Some guy has found a unique way to make use of the new emotes, especially the Sorrow emote.

He uses the Peregrine Grieves on a Titan in normal Crucible.

He changed his gamertag to "My Peregrine"

After every kill with them he emotes the Sorrow Emote

When used, at the bottom right of the screen it says- "My Peregrine grieves"

FWIW, I got nothing but rubbish rewards from HoW Nighfalls - mostly vanguard weapons I already had or didn't want. At least now I'm getting different rolls for weapons or armour, stuff for infusion...

The buff seems to have been replaced by the exotic faction class items - you get a faction rep boost PvE and PvP.

It's a derivation of 'spastic' which is a dated and offensive term for people with special needs or mental or physical disabilities. 'Spacker' is a particularly nasty variation, and is generally used as a disablist insult.

My English vocabulary improves every second I spend here. Thanks gents. PS: Is 'cunt' still appropriate here?. I once said that to my friend's mum in London. But only as part of a story and quoting someone else who had said it. He was not pleased.

Was it because he was the one you quoted?

It's been acceptable language in US English for years though, for whatever reason. It appears loads in children's stuff over there.
