I've stayed away from IB this time, 280 light legendaries not really worth my time, that said neither is the rng, played for four hours last night, Strikes, Daily, Court of Oryx got loads of engrams that amounted to fuck all progress, and still no ghost... I'm joining the angry crew ;) I guess I should be happy with the exotic primary that I scored which is sat in my Vault waiting for me to turn 300, frankly at this rate I'll probably turn 300 years old before I get a 290+ ghost ;)

If anyone's raid crew is a couple of slots short tonight, send me and Van a PM/PSN message - our regular crew couldn't raid last night due to a problem with someone's internet connection, and now our squad can't meet up again for another fortnight. So basically the rest of us will be floating about raidless for a while. (Uncle Mike will be free some nights too.)

Having finally beaten the full raid last week after not being able to attempt it very often, I'm in the camp that considers it better than VoG and probably the best thing that'll ever happen in Destiny - until, hopefully, Destiny 2. Fingers crossed. It really is brilliant, a few bits of slackness notwithstanding (working out the actual method for the earlier bits was far more satisfying than working out the 'puzzle' in the later parts), and overall it puts just about every bit of content Bungie has released since that original raid to shame. But it seems as if this best of all raids is cursed, or at least my participation in it is - for a variety of reasons, we just don't seem able to get the crew online at the same time more than once a week (or even less often at present).

So yeah, if your crew is raiding regularly and for some reason you need a couple of stand ins, or you're a couple short of an alt raid crew to supplement your main run, let us know - we're for hire. All characters over 300. Haf own Gjallarhorn Touch of Malice. Will work for mouldering shards.

In you learned gentlemen's opinions, is the best way to try and farm weapons and ToC drops still the Heroic Strikes, even after you've run your three with rewards for the week? I finally hit 300 on Monday, and with a couple of 310 drops (Crest of Alpha Lupi, which was promptly fed to my Alchemist's Raiment, and Telesto, which I fucking love) and successful Raids I'm already at about 304, but i could use a few more good drops to improve my options, and am also in real need of some weapon parts (so I can infuse/upgrade the Hung Jury I stupidly waited to buy until yesterday).

Pop one at the start of a strike, if you get an exotic there, then it's probably not worth popping one until after you've beaten the boss on the next strike. It's also worth nothing that they also work on PoE 28 and King's Fall (Warpriest, Golgorth and the Shade of Oryx). Any daily with a major at the end of it too.

Have you raided yet? Obviously ghost drops aren't guaranteed in the raid but if you do get lucky it'll be 300 minimum

I've done the first section, probably 1st two chests. Need to do more obviously but I'm out of step with my Raid group and now not OP enough (apparently)...

It is as far as I know. Everyone confirmed last night, think I sent you a message confirming but not sure.

Spatular, Harsin, Devdas (Dips), Droodling, yourself and me should all be good to go at 7/8 (8 being the latest start, hopefully we'll all be good to go at 7 though)

Are there any other xboners who havnt raided yet?

We tried the first section as a three and enjoyed figuring out what was going on, I'd really like to figure the whole thing out instead of being walked through it like I was for the first two raids.

If there is another regular fireteam of three who have the patience, it would be great to team up.

I hear Banana is all about pulse rifles, I'm not so fussed to play it this week - maybe on friday.... whats the general feeling about it? (other than asshats camping C)

Nightfalls are utterly pointless now, easy with no risk/reward element - I can spend 10 mins on court and get far better rewards - total fuck up in year 2 so hopefully they can give a reason to play them again, really they need to remove the checkpointing and maybe make it so if you all die it turns the ps4 off and ejects the destiny disc or something!

Just looked at the Vanguard Scout on sale Not Like The Others

Looks fantastic: Crowd Control, Explosive Rounds/Feathered Mag/Malleus Maleficarum (damage against Wizards) then Reactve Reload (bonus damage after reload) if that stacks with CC then it could be a pve beast!

Good work on the alt raid guys. Will try and sort a time we can meet back up, but failing that we could just make it a regular Wednesday run if everyone can make it.

Also sorry for my spacker jumping on the last part, but I can see why Droodling hates it now.

What's wrong with the Nightfall?

I know some of the brutal difficulty has gone now they've added checkpoints, but most of the the old ones people were cheesing (I fucking hate that expression) anyway. Now they are reasonably challenging strikes with some interesting modifiers, and you're guaranteed some loot. I had a great time doing this weeks, and our team ended up with a Jade Rabbit, a Truth and a bundle of 3oC, i'd hardly call that pointless.

No XP buff, bugger all faction rep compared to year 1 and it drops gear at a lower light level than what's required to actually take part in the activity. Every time I've done one since patch 2.0 I've had to sit and watch the other two people get exotics at the reward screen while I've gotten fuck all, so there's that too.

They are really not worth the hassle. Same goes for the heroic vanguard strikes after you've done it three times for the legendary marks. Not really any reason to do that playlist over the normal vanguard one since you still get the same rewards.

I really wish they would have added one or two extra tiers to Prison of Elders for something else to do. I really enjoyed that for the most part but it's been made virtually redundant just four months after launch.

Heroic strikes give you better drops on general. Plus exotics from Three of Coins.

You can still run it for motes and coins. Three of Coins works on the level 28 boss too. They actually broke the sound with TTK, so they need to fix that.

If you're really, genuinely getting upset over RNG at the end of a Nightfall maybe you should play something else?

I think the game has jipped me out of my touch of malice. I did the missions (up to the undying mind bit), then completed the raid, something popped for eris, I paid her her hadium flakes and shiz, got a frame, but wherever that should slot I guess my inventory was full, and now there is no mission, no frame, nada.
