They're the strike specific legendaries that only drop from the bosses in those strikes. I got the helm from the Dark Blade strike the other night. Its proper fugly and doesn't change colour with any shader. Shame as the perks are perfect for PvE - more super energy from minions of the darkness and restore health on orb pickups.

Best bit:

Players can now reroll Stat nodes and Upgrade nodes on Exotic armor via the Twist Fate node

Twist Fate will require Glimmer, Armor materials, and a Glass Needle, which will be available from Xur during his weekly visits

Bad bits: fewer motes and coins when levelling factions. Fewer weapon parts for dismantling greens and blues. And they've nerfed the ghost extractor thing just hours after I learned about it. :/

Fixed an issue where some of the Year 1 Special Order Emblems and Shaders were not appearing in Collections

Yay - Can hopefully get the 2 shaders I'd lost back.

Edit: all decent changes except the one to strange coins where they reduced our ability to gain them, even though they dont really drop too often anyway :mellow:

Yeah. I can understand the coins and motes nerf but the weapon parts bit just seems unnecessary. I'm sure there are people out there with thousands but I constantly have at least one character on the weapon parts breadline.

The strange coins nerf means I am now officially going three of coins only on Xur purchases, he can stick his engrams.

    • From completing Public Events have been increased by approximately 100%

So public events are worth doing again, but you'll only get 2 motes after the 1st which should give you 6 now? Still a bit miserly really. 3 per one would be ideal.

Edit: patch downloaded and installed, and server still offline.

Say you get an awesome helmet, like Obsidian Mind. But instead of the Intellect/Discipline combo, and the Inverse Shadow perk (all enemy kills charge your super), you get all strength, and the "melee kills charge your super" perk.

You can re-roll to see if you get different/better stats, and better perks.

Ive already got 6 of each helmet from exotic engrams etc ;)

The IB gear is a bit pants to be honest. The pulse rifle has crap range, the sidearm is, well a sidearm, and the Titan mark looks like no effort was put into it, unlike the first year 1 version which was the dogs bollocks.

The boots might be useful if they could be rerolled, but of course they cant be.

Drops it is then.

They've recently said they're doing no more paid expansions, and that all future story content will be free for all players. Until the next game, of course.

This is from a Kotaku story isn't it?

Okay, unless I'm missing something, you can only replace the point emote. Which just so happens to be the most useful emote in the game. Please tell me Bungie are not being the complete spacker fucking morons I am thinking they are right now.

I actually want to buy more emotes. Really. But not if I have to replace the most useful one. The mind boggles.

Yeah the pre-order ones did the same. I've got on fine without it to be honest but I do think it's strange you can't choose which ones you're replacing. 'Complete spacker fucking morons' might be going a bit far mind you.

Bungie are a bit fucking mental sometimes. So they get rid of re-rolling guns because it made drops boring and effectively meant everyone was using the same combos in stuff like Trials. And now they have re-introduced it for armour. Oh, and with another fucking currency associated with it. Err....

In other news I have no interest in the emotes - hoped they would at least allow a way to replace your dance move, not the point emote.

I think the Pulse rifle from Iron Banner looks great - it's essentially another Villainy (available from FWC). I'll be getting that and giving it a go in Trials.

Is point that useful? If you want to show something to a teammate, surely you just shoot at it? That said, it's at least more useful than sitting down.
