Half an hour in the Court should get you more engrams than you know what to do with, easiest way of getting parts I'd say.

We were in there 45 mins or so last night, by the time I got to the tower the Postman was full & so were almost all my slots.

See you say that, but I've never had that much luck from there. Some admittedly - but not much better than i'd really expect in amount from Strikes (maybe more Legendary/Exotics cus of Ultra kills as opposed to mobs?)

And that's with making sure I'm one of the ones putting in runes when I can

Yep, me too - I'm on zero most of the time, with the occasional blue engram bingie giving me enough to upgrade a weapon a couple of times before crashing back to zero. I cashed in all of my year one exotics (apart from Thorn) and got about a hundred parts, and spent all of them in about an hour.

I think this is what new players and less regular year one players will lose out on. People who played a lot during year one will have accumulated thousands of weapon parts and armour materials which are probably taken for granted now.

I'm super-low on weapon parts also. I had to spend all my glimmer last night to buy weapons to dissamble so I had enough to pass muster with Eris to get my Touch of Malice. Everyone else I know has thousands. I have 3. I even stole all the parts of all my alts to get there.

How was TOM quest mate? I've done the raid and on 14 fragments. Guess I better get searching.

There's two tough parts on ToM. They're both solo-able, but it'll be testing. One is a custom version of The Undying Mind. A special add appears during the boss fight, and you need to kill him. You don't need to complete the Strike. It's tough, but doable.

The last part (once you've gotten 45 Fragments - there are 3 as yet undiscovered, so you need pretty much all the ones people have found) is a very tough version of the Phobos Story mission where you go back to kill an Echo or Oryx. It ends in that room with all the burners on the roof. The same add appears, and you need to kill him not finish the mission. it is TOUGH.

We did both missions with 2, was easy peasy man. Zhalo thingmybob, snipes and swords in the undying mind, I had FWC rockets to help with oryx, the wean had the sword for ads.

Plus the supers obvs.

We actually use the undying mind mission to do the 7 orbs thing when the yella fellas spawned.

I did solo the undying mind (asked for handers on the destiny community thing, none were forthcoming) but...... I didnt know i had to kill a particular target so had to do again.

Three of us did a Nightfall earlier and all of us got exotics! I'd love to take that as evidence of them changing things behind the scenes but it was our second run and the first was just rubbish all round. It's actually a reasonably straightforward Nightfall once you get past the Warsat.

N00b question. If my slots are full does an engram automatically go to the postmaster if you walk over it?

No more frantically opening the destiny app to shift stuff to the vault?!

Did the Tanniks strike a couple of days ago and I wrecked him with my sword down to a slither of health and got stomped... My teammates dealt the final blows and engrams of yellow and purple dropped. Did they revive me? Nope, just danced in front of me and the engrams. Dicks. I just made it after my timer run out. Dicks!

Yeah things will go to the postmaster, however there are reports that if your primary, secondary, class items or emblems are full when you kill Oryx in the raid that they wont go to the mail. Not sure if this is correct or not, but might be worth making sure you have some room just in case.

I got the emblem and shader via the postmaster when my character was full, but no idea about anything else as Orxy was a touch stingy when we downed him. Hopefully he can resign himself to lots of deaths at our hands and will be a bit more forthcoming with the loot!

Yeah we killed him last week and all I had was the 2 shards. My primary inventory was full, and nothing at the postmaster, but that's not exactly conclusive proof there's a bug. Best to just have some space just in case though.

Iron Banner later today - Wonder if the drops will scale with light level, or will everything just be 280. Also, drops are supposed to be quite often, but I guess we'll see soon enough.

Yeah I guarantee the buy-able stuff will be 280 as it costs legendary marks, and Bungie want you to grind for your light level, so no way it will be above 280 to buy. Hopefully the drops level will vary though, and it may be possible to get marks for dismantling stuff.

I wouldn't stress too much about the level of Iron B gear as in a few weeks you'll be able to bring all your gear to 310 with Silver.

Second go at the raid today, both have been time listed and of course being after the reset had to start again...

Got to the sisters, know how to do it and will pick it up again on sunday and hopefully finish it - got the fusion rifle and a chest piece with good roll but not so great perks!

The majority of the raid has been excellent thus far and really does require team work, bravo Bungie!

There's a interesting interview podcast (planet destiny) with Luke about designing the new raid, where he also talks about VoG which blew my mind. In particular, the fact that they follow really stressful demanding engagements with these silly platforming bits (or the sneaking in VoG) or long environment traversal portions with little gameplay or enemies so people have a chance to chill and talk with each other. It just amazed me how well that actually works in practice. Running VoG once we were talking so much bollocks on the way to the templar that when I grabbed the relic I just ran around in circles for 10 minutes talking and completely forgetting to shot the shield down. Think it was LiMuBai who said at some point "you shooting the shield down mate or what?". The raid model will be copied a lot by other games going forward.

How does Sleeper perform on Golgoroth? I imagine it does massive amounts of damage per shot, but with only three in the chamber and a very flow recharge rate does the damage output outclass the downtime?

After fruitless Omnigul grinding for the apparently amazing pulse rifle I've had a couple of games of crucible and absolutely wrecked the place with Hung Jury, so I guess I'm using that this week.

I've done the whole raid twice with no ghost now. At least I got a 295 one from court finally.

I've run it 9 times in total & only had the ghost drop once at 300. Then there are folk on my friends list who haven't beaten it fully that have multiple 310's. RNG can suck a dick.

Silver is up on the PS Store. £3.99 for 500 Silver is the cheapest.

1000+100 for free (lol) is £7.99

2000+300 for free is £15.99

Given this, I wonder how much these emotes will cost. Looks like if we get 2 for free, they'll probably be something like 250-500 each. Guess we'll see soon enough.
