Its actually fairly easy....

We failed last week, this week did it twice back to back (4 of us have it now) basically our plan was to run in and wipe the adds and balls of ass then smash the boss, rinse and repeat.

We tried that, didn't work for us. At some point of smashing the boss the adds would get out of control again and then all hope was lost as we couldn't take them all out again without constant death.

Those who have the exotic sword, does the last part have matchmaking? If not I'll probably need a hand on it.

Edit: Supers and swords are the keys to that Black Spindle mission, as well as a good load-out (void sniper seems best for killing the wizards in the tank room).

Stupid question: is it possible to select which gesture is replaced by the new dance moves from TTK? For some reason, I can only seem to swap with the point gesture, which means I've got two dance moves, but no ability to point out interesting things to people.

Having two dance moves is pretty cool - the animation blending when you switch between them is neat - but seems a bit excessive.

I think it does matchmake but I can't recommend trying with randoms as you will have a very difficult job completing the specific end of the quest...

Tried that. The one time we got some good action with an armour of light bubble and swords but he fell off the platform and it all went to shit from there.

Platform? You dont use the bubble on the boss :P

I made a lengthy post about how to do it after I got mine. Here's the link: http://www.rllmukforum.com/index.php?/topic/240029-destiny-the-taken-king-find-a-friendly-fireteam-here-no-raid-spoilers-pls/?view=findpost&p=10580905

I would recommend a lightning specced warlock, defender titan and actually a sunbreaker titan for the last boss. Those hammers will wipe everything that has no shield or solar shielded instantly.

Your never-ending stream of Telestos continues to annoy me nearly as much as you, Scruff.

Anyone know what the gunsmith quests are like today? I want Tlaloc (and am already partway through Rank 2), so a repeat of last week's 'go to the Dreadnaught and kill stuff for about 15 minutes to get all five done' would be lovely. Anything in the Crucible less so.

I can remember two off the top of my head:

Kill Fallen Captains with a sniper

Kill any hive with a Pulse rifle

Blessing of Light on the platform, so you can dip in and out of it to top up your shield while hammering the boss.

Yeah people are saying to use it on the actual boss platform, then sword him to death. That will only end painfully

I put the bubble up at the bottom of the left stairs as you go into the main boss room. Seemed to work amazingly well on our kill, after we'd killed the Cabal shield majors (they dont respawn). There are no wizards at the boss room as far as I ever saw (unless the guys I were with killed them super quick with their supers), just some solar and arc shielded guys (they aren't majors it seems, so die fast to supers, or anything that's the same element as their shield).

We all had snipers btw, for the boss, so bear that in mind.

Annoyingly I did not get the legendary ship that can also drop when killing the boss, just the sniper, but its just a recoloured ship from House of Wolves anyway (it is black mind, so there is that).

Kill Fallen Captains with a sniper

Kill any hive with a Pulse rifle

Kill Minotaurs with a fusion

Double Kills with a sniper

Kill Vex with a scout

Did three of them in the dreadnaught starting area, the captains in Mothyards and Hive in the bit just after it. Doesn't take long. Baffling that major kills don't count though.

Easy peasy week again. Nothing that requires Crucible and the worst one is the Fallen Captains again.

Did you shoot all the balls of ass? there are a couple at the back - it really is pretty easy when you make sure you kill the balls and then take out the adds quickly.

Swords and snipers worked both times - swords for the knights, snipe for the boss man when clear and lobbing in supers as and when you can.

As I said, last week we fucked it up 3 times and it seemed too hard to do but this week we just played the tactic and smashed it.

There's a good spot in the Scourge of Winter mission for sniping Captains, just as you come out of the cave, run down to the first area with some fallen, stand on the ledge and scope over to the ramp leading up to the ship where you go to farm exotics kill Draksis, there's a Captain you can pick off then jump off the ledge, the respawn point is at the top of the hill at the exit to the cave, you can run it 10 times in a few minutes.

The balls seem to spawn two at a time on a boss health trigger. I was clearing them as fast as I could but once you get overrun getting back out to clear the ones at the back was a nightmare. I think weapons of light and sniper might be the way to go for the boss and the other two just clear adds and balls. The trouble I found was the time pressure was so immense that any game plan quickly went out of the window...

So sword. I went Solar for my Warlock (prefer playing Void/Storm spec, so though fire weapon good idea)....I should be feeding it things to level up right?

Gunsmith - if I pick up his guns today, I have ages to do them right? But I can only place orders today?

Who's up for a black spindle? Need a warlock. Titan with helm of St 14 (yr 2) here for the final room. Probably need another warlock or a titan. Tried it with two hunters last time, I do not advise it.

Got ourselves a warlock. Any sunbreaker above 290 out there? You can glitch your super while I do the old armour of light bubble St 14 jobbie.

You move as a team and clear them with primary and then hammer the knights etc - swords are your friend here and then smash the boss. Only towards the end did we switch to two of us dealing with adds while I sniped the boss.

It was hectic while doing it, for got about looking at the timer and died a couple of times in the boss room but even so its more about working the plan than it being particularly hard or time restricted.
