All this raid chat... I've not even seen it yet however last night I turned 291 thanks to Eris and her 300 artifact. Not sure what I did for her to drop that, I wasn't doing anything specific. Thus lies the joy of TTK I've got 3 pages of quests and a bunch of unfinished crucible bounties, I play, stuff happens, drops ensue, progression is made. It's funny that the game is so much more generous now but you would only notice if you've already played for months and months.

My cryptarch is about to hit 25 too, more goodies I hope :)

Ready to raid on Friday, then I might take a run at getting one of my alts to 40 so they can inherit all the blue 280 weapons my titan finds ;)

Anyone managed to hit rank 4 with the Gunsmith yet? I'm 290 rep away from it, so I'll hit it with the test weapons today, wonder if it's another quest or just a package drop.

Package drop only apparently. However, rumour is that rank 5 activates the sleeper stimulant quest.

Just a rumour though based on a Game Informer tip that Banshee is the instigator of that particular weapon quest.

Suppose rank 5 should be the end for him since he can only give 5 weapons per week, so making that quest trigger when you hit 5 sounds plausible.

I wonder if I'll get an extra roll on the armsday guns to pick from if I hit rank 4 before I collect them.

Starting to get into the flow of this a bit more - went on a patrol for the first time, seems to be that there are things dotted around all over the place you just take on while there's folks all doing similarly around you but you can happily join in. There were some massive ghosty things appearing that some level 40s were battering, but I chucked my oar in and managed to help out and got some loot for the effort.

Excellent stuff.

Logged on last night to see if there's anything new for people who haven't bought taken king, assuming that I'd at least be able to do the same things I could before. What might have been an opportunity to keep me interested until Taken King was a fair price was just upsetting, given that they've taken so much away from me for not buying it. I thought crucible might still be worthwhile, but you can't even pick your fucking game type. Fuck Bungie.

Finally got a decent Solar sniper. Almost bought another 1000-Yard Stare in that flavour from the Vanguard Vendor last night, so i'm glad I waited for Armsday.

There have been far too many long-range Wizard situations where whittling was taking too long, so being able to pop the shield + pop the head, should speed things up good and proper!

More than a fair price in my opinion.

Two weeks in and there is stacks of stuff I've yet to do. Quests everywhere, amazing new weapons and gear, new features like court of Oryx are ridiculously fun, new strikes are the best yet, fantastic story and the raid is a simply stunning achievement. Seriously, theres no reason not to get it if you liked the base game in any way.

Locking existing content sounds a bit shitty though, no idea why they'd do that.

Got my beloved 1000 Yard Stare to 304 last night thanks to getting another of those utterly shite raid fusion rifles.

My 1000 Yard Stare has hidden hand. So I don't have to aim anymore. Which is lucky because I was shite at it. Maybe I will feed my fusion rifle to it as well.

Do Mouldy Shards affect all drops / chests in the raid, or just the big man himself?

Although not directly tied to mouldy shards I feel people who have raided more appear to get higher drop rates. But hard to tell because it may just be that you are rolling the dice more often and therefore get more items. Thing with this raid I find is, running is fun in itself and I am not that bothered with the loot which I can get from almost any game activity. I am 295 at the moment and don't really understand what activities would require me to be much higher than that. There is nothing I can't join and contribute to at the moment so don't quite understand the race to 310 or whatever (other than higher numbers are better). In terms of getting good crucible weapons it would seem to me that some of the best ones (with the best rolls) and just for sale at the tower.

I've been noticing a lot more glitches/bugs post TTK on XB1. Me and Wallbob were playing a heroic strike last night, fighting the Cabal Brothers. Struggling, but getting there. I get a blackscreen with error "Baboon". I'm still in the game, and can still hear everything & interact with my character. Hitting pause and the menus work too. But the game screen is black. Had to drop to orbit and come back. It's happened to my friend a fair few times too.

Also, sound cutting out on PoE, Tower and some Crucible/Strike games too. Sometimes it's the music, sometimes no sound effects, sometimes nothing. It's annoying. I've also found a few people I normally play with are randomly getting disconnected from fireteams more often.

Thing is I find the difference between 295 and 290 in PvE activities nearly trivial. So not sure it would be as big of a difference as it was in year one for trials and banner. But I am sure "ToO people" will quickly have a view about it and multiple spreadsheets with TTK per point of light. You guys go and have fun.
