Yeah, assault rifles got a lot more viable in the 2.0 update - I'm back to using Suros Regime and my new Fabian Strategy quite often. Also, the Answering Chord is decent.

Hexx, basically, they all just about work, but they have different pros and cons. Scout Rifles for distance shooting, Auto Rifles and Hand Cannons for up close, Pulse for somewhere in between. Shotguns for up close, Fusions for mid-range, Snipers (obv) for distance. You'll find yourself with preference for some over the other, but you'll want a spread eventually to deal with different encounter types.

Zone Control is the "weekly" playlist where you get 10 marks for winning a game, up to 3 times (same as heroic strikes). I've done it with randoms and won 3 games at the start of the week, so its not as bad as people are saying, although it all depends on the people you get of course.

I just wish they'd put the daily on the game types that dont have some form of objective, rather than on Rift or Control. Hell, slap it on Clash, at least all you have to do is shoot the other team then.

I bought Hawkmoon last night, and of course Xur has it today . Should have got Red Death instead. I had 199 marks, so needed to get rid of some.

Edit: Oh, has anyone done the exotic sword questline? There's a part of it where you have to farm certain rare materials on a planet and kill stuff using your sub class abilities - worst quest I think I've ever seen. No idea why Bungie thought farming one planet for over 2 hours would be fun. At least its done (on one character, not looking forward to doing it twice more). Need to wait on next Armsday now for the next part.

Guaranteeing the player 15 marks no matter the result and performance does not trigger interest nor investment in Crucible and its many objectives. Players are there for the guaranteed marks, and that plagues many a match. Now, marks for winning I can get behind. Marks for participating is pathetic.

Not sure I agree, Rift is getting so much play time in my group because of the marks and some hardcore crucible haters are loving it and only played it initially for the swag.

Marks for winning is a bad idea as if you get loads of randoms against 3+ people together on comms they aint got a chance, unless of course you are part of the 3+ and want easy free marks :o

Anyone else think Mr Ben is not actually a person, but a very clever AI program written to play Destiny all day long and post up its results on this Forum?

I'm secretly Rasputin. I'll have the Warsat land on you, and only you, next time you do the SABER strike.

Remember to say cheese as it hits.

Oh just 45. Well then...

How the fudge did you find 45 of those things? How many hours days did you spend scouring the dreadnought and its missions to find them all?

Nope not days, its pretty easy and quick with a guide like dreamylittledream posted.

About 10-15 of the fragments are from quests, court of oryx or chests.

I (and my fireteam) had found about 15-20 without assistance. I had 36 before I looked up the guide and it took about an hour today to get to 45.

Ahhh, so you used a guide. All makes sense now. Kudos good sir.

Keep it quiet though. The Fun Police may say that's not the way Bungie intended you to play the game ;)

Mostly through playing various activities related to the quests, while others were more interested in spamming bosses for engrams. Speaking of which, that hot fix has broken the Valus strike and he doesn't drop anything currently. Well played, farmers :(

So, having played through all of the content in destiny when it launched, got to level 20 and promptly stopped when the grinding started (I have no interest in playing the same thing over and over) is then enough in the taken King to warrant a return and a run through the new missions?

Also, if you pick up the year two stuff, do you level quickly enought to mean I can easily try the vault of glass?

Finally does TTK include all the year one DLC (I never played these).

Sorry for the noob questions but I couldn't see the answers to these in amongst the detailed chat from the year 1 vets :-)
