How much of your Y1 stuff have you kept, people? I just can't quite bring myself to dismantle any of my Raid weapons or Exotics, but I'm thinking of just biting the bullet (and maybe just keeping Fatebringer and Word of Crota, for just in case, because elemental damage).

This is, of course, assuming I can still upgrade to Y2 Bad Juju, Red Death, Vestments, etc, even after I've sharded them?

No point sharding all of it, its still ok for Crucible!

I can not stand playing with the Crucible plebs. Just why do I have to play with them when they are there solely for the marks, fucking up the objectives. Worst of all: win or lose makes no difference. Join a Crucible match and you are guaranteed to receive marks, so where is, for them, the drive to play well?

Also, the trend of rewarding players no matter what. You lost and played like a muppet? Here, have marks and some random rewards. Yay you participated! Fucking me right off that.

Sorry mate what gets my goat even worse then that, is when I play like a demon, but perhaps not top of the board but still well, top three whatever and I get nothing drop and everyone else does, that winds me up so bad.

I've played crucible so far only for the marks. But every time I have been realising how fun it is, whatever the game type. I think it is a great "recruiting agent" for crucible, to help keep player population up and give matchmaking a chance. Eventually marks will be less of an issue, and you will probably be shot of the passive grinders.

Guaranteeing the player 15 marks no matter the result and performance does not trigger interest nor investment in Crucible and its many objectives. Players are there for the guaranteed marks, and that plagues many a match. Now, marks for winning I can get behind. Marks for participating is pathetic.

They would quit the second they thought the game was a lost cause. At least promoting participation gives people a chance to get into crucible. It's an advert of sorts.

Giving you marks just for playing is a really good move, in my view. If you just got them for winning, then the atmosphere would be poisonous, the pace would be hyper-competitive, and the whole experience would be more stressful. As it is, you can just relax and enjoy the game. I frequently log into the game just for the marks, but stay around because I'm enjoying myself.

All the Real Destiny Players can presumably just go into the playlists that aren't handing out marks that day. Although randoms never play objective games properly, anyway.

Agreed, although in df0's defence, it is the "less harmful" rather than the best solution.

There are two playlists giving marks. But I am sure the 10 marks list is for repeat play, or maybe a win? I didn't get marks yesterday on control.

Punish the player for leaving by making those 15 daily marks unobtainable.

That might work.

The Rift playlist (or is it the Zone Control one?) only gives marks for wins. I find that one a lot more stressful, as there is actually something riding on the outcome. It's stressful enough just playing Crucible sometimes, I don't need an additional thing to get angry about.

If you did Zone Control you only get them for a Win.
