EDIT: FWIW, I also received the ship "Vienna Singer" as well as the Black Spindle after clearing the mission.

Now that ship, that ship I have been craving since I saw it once when Crota first came....That is my ultimate want in this game!

I got the black spindle, but not the ship. It was pretty tough. In the end we blitzed the boss with swords and then cleared up the adds with about 50 seconds left. We tried a couple of times doing the adds first but this way seemed better. Worth bearing in mind all 3 of you down isn't a wipe and sometimes it seemed more wasteful going for a revive as opposed to carrying on wiping out the enemies.

Just found a purple weapon in the Cosmodrome and was told to take it back to Banshee. He's just taken it off me, without any reward. What's that all about?

The 1st mission of House of Wolves (I'm destroy the chronology I think with my ordering) - the fight to, into and then through the Kvetch was fun, great action and great setting. More like this please!

It's 310, isn't it? But it's a good thing to get hold of early doors because of being able to buy the 300 version back for the cost of an exotic shard and some glimmer, and use that to infuse your other stuff to 300.

That's assuming you can do that. I don't know for sure, because although Mike, Van and I had a go at getting the weapon this evening we didn't succeed. We killed the boss once, but had nowhere near enough time to kill the remaining adds. It's a tough old fight and we were knackered (the usual excuse, but I think Destiny has taken about 10 years off my life in the past week due to spending far too much time on it - though, sadly, nowhere near enough of that raiding).

For what it's worth, Ben, on one attempt we tried the mission by selecting it from the normal mission menu (on heroic) rather than the daily, and the room for the extra bit was open just the same. But that doesn't prove anything, as it offered the same rewards as the daily, cos it is the daily in effect, wherever in the interface you invoke it from. I guess we'll find out tomorrow if the extra bit is available on non-daily days. I expect it will be - but the main utility of the reward is to boost you up during the early game, imo. Black Hammer itself isn't all that useful now, and an exotic version is arguably even less useful as it takes up a valuable yellow slot.
