I managed a reasonable catchup session last night going from 220 light to just under 260. Still not raid ready but a step forwards.

Top tip for noobs like me, say you've picked up a bunch of encrypted engrams. Don't decrypt them all in one go, do one at a time. If it's higher light and it levels up your light the next engram will decrypt at a higher light level. Do this for each and every one you decrypt and remember to make sure your running your best gear when you decrypt.

Hi you learned and impressive guardians, I'm looking for a friendly fireteam.

I'm a level 40 Titan with 209 light, I'm relatively new to the game been playing for about 3 months, still not done a raid yet and that to be frank, pisses me off.

Anyone on xbox care to drag my carcass through some stuff?

Anybody else intending to try for the Black Spindle tonight (or soon*)? I quite fancy that (not least because it's 310 so buying it over again in future would mean you can level up other special weapons). I haven't watched the video as yet, but I'm guessing it's not going to be very easy to do solo, so if someone's up for it I wouldn't mind a shot at it.

* sounds like it doesn't need to be done from the Daily Heroic necessarily, just on that mission when it's set to 240.

yeah man - i should be on about 8-8.30 with bro if that works - we can also knockout the nightfall etc. Obviously we will do all of this whilst spurs batter arsenal

Will try and sneak on before our raid session tonight if anybody from the team is about to have a crack at the daily/secret mission.

Man, they just keep throwing this stuff at us. Was finding it hard to fit in the dailies anyway, now they throw in a secret mission inside the daily. Amazing scenes!

I'll try and get on early, will depend if the boss agrees though! I'd rather get this done and start the raid a bit later if we have to.

You can buy it repeatedly from the exotic blueprint machine at 300 attack once you have it, so worth it for infusing your special weapons.

My wife's offer of doing those bastard jumps for me didn't help nor hearing all of you surprised when I actually made it! We should have just refused to step on the plates to open the door to the chest! :P

That was the most epic bit of trolling I've ever heard. A wife pitching in, fully audible to everyone in the party, telling you to move aside and let her do the jumping because you've spent so long doing it :lol:

PS + subs are gonna be the next question. I get a 14 day grace period but anywhere particularly cheap for them?

I've been looking on CD Keys as pretty cheap.

If you brought the same bundle as me - there was a code for 14 days free and a code for 1 month free (one in the PS4 box, one in Destiny)

Not sure if you can use both though (I've just used the month for now)

I can so relate to this :facepalm: , lets just say that last night I did not make the jumping section and I would appreciate it if my raid team never made mention of this again :facepalm:;)

That black spindle level is rock hard, well getting there is easy but just the time limit and amount of adds really fucks you over - we failed it a couple of times simply running out of time. I will gloss over the time we failed as I had to answer the door and got stuck talking with a plumber....

Gimme two rllmukers, one with weapons of light bubble, melting point solar titan, or a fefellow tethering hunter, and we will destroy the adds. We will destroy them in a bloodbath of debuffs, orbs, blue and green engrams, special and heavy ammo, and then we will make the kell regret he was ever shat out by the darkness or the traveller or whoever, and that 310 snipes will be ours. I have every faith in my hunter and his bow.

Edit: I also have the artefact for generating orbs of light from Arc precision kills.

Yeah, after they, thankfully, ditch reforging I was hoping theyd return to the ultimate archetype approach, at least for raid weapons. Thats what made the chase for Fatebringer or VoC so compelling. You knew if you got Fatebringer it would have the godly roll of firefly and outlaw with arc burn and soon as it dropped it was pure joy and relief. Now youll feel a tinge of excitement followed by an inevitable disappointment that you got Icarus or something.

They do look very cool though if not a little creepy.

The main thing about the Raid weapons is the extra Taken damage. So they're probably worth keeping hold of for HM, regardless of rolls.
