According to Reddit you have to win, and you get 10 marks for the first 3 wins, same as the heroic strike.

Did nightfall, and popped a coin before the boss. Got an exotic special. Here's me hoping for a new one.

Cryptarch says "Lol no!" and gives me another fookin' 4th Horseman.....Great system that detects what you already have.....and then gives you the same bloody stuff. I got the 1st one like 3 days ago, so its a valid complaint.

I got three Zhalo's in one night.

sure it's 2am and I have work tomorrow. but this:

Can't tell until I get home but the stats alone look very promising.

Plus there are no crucible tests on this weeks new test. weapons. Hurrah!

You can see on bungie.net > vendors.

No crucible testing is good, they can all be done on either "we've woken the Hive" or mars patrol at the Hollows. 10 minute job this week.

I played this for a bit last year when it first came out and was really enjoying it but I got to the first couple of missions on the Moon and just stopped. Not for any reason in particular but I just never really found any desire to carry on and eventually sold it.

After hearing plenty of good things about TTK I decided to pick up the Legendary edition and so far I've had way more fun than I ever did the first time playing it!

Is there still no matchmaking for strikes / raids? I'm nowhere near at a level to unlock any yet (Level 7, Light level 33ish) but I'm looking forward to giving them a go when I get there.

All in all I can see myself playing this for a lot longer than I did before!

Got a delicious Suros scout, a full auto pulse rifle, and the final step of an exotic quest involving a light 300 strike with two boss kills in 30 seconds. Eep.

Opted for full auto too. Hard choice as the other roll was pretty tasty. But the fire rate asks for auto.

Also, I've been using Jade Rabbit a lot more recently, and I just can't stop singing its praises.

If you get your shots right, you have infinite ammo. If you don't, and you u deplete the magazine, Spray and Play means you have a super-quick reload anyway.

Actually, I might see if that stacks with speed reload. It would mean going back down to just 7 in the mag (field scout gives you 11), but might be worth it for super fast reload.

It also has the Omolon sight that highlights enemies. :wub:

For me, it's the absolute best primary for long range engagements.

I need more coins. :omg:

did anyone try zone control yesterday? thought it was rubish on my first match but I started to get into a grove.

Our fireteam for the Raid did a couple of games while we were waiting for people last night, as you could get 10 Marks for your first three wins. It takes a while to get used to, and I think that's why at present I probably still prefer regular Control, but we did have a lot of fun in there once we got in the swing - we started terribly both games, but pulled it around both times for those lovely, lovely marks.

The second game was incredibly close, actually; Shaxx was already having a go at us and telling us how we were about to lose, but we realised that if we could get a zone back a win was still a possibility. I went over and Infinite Powered about four of their team off of B, but couldn't stay alive long enough to capture it, which left one zone held each and B open with about a minute left. This lead to a mad rush to, and then desperate stand on B, ending in an insanely tight 1500-1490 win for us. :D

It's useful everywhere. I use it all the time when wearing that new Titan exotic helmet that has it. Run up to boss, melee them with melting point, jump and hover in the air right above them and let loose with a shotgun or fusion rifle, or Hammer of Sol with the Fire Keeper perk that makes the super last longer and gives you an over shield. Apparently it's a good perk for crucible when you're not a warlock for confusing people not expecting Titans to have that ability, for example.

I got the Herja D and it's not full auto?

I really want that Jade Rabbit but I'm more than happy enough with the Dead Orbit scout with triple tap and firefly. Knowing my luck and the game's appalling RNG I'll never get it anyway just like MIDA Multitool in year 1 which was my most wanted weapon. Missed it when Xur had it and it never dropped elsewhere.

Then the magic ball's Darkness enemies came and smashed up the system and killed basically everyone. Their forces included Fallen (4 armed thingies that belong to houses) and Hive (EVIL SPACE BUGS).

Then the magic ball did "something" to stop the Darkness. (Which remains outside/around the solar system) - but it's forces stayed here.

Then the ball died doing it's "something", but made little bits of itself to go resurrect people who could use it's Light powers to fight the remaining Darkness forces. The ball also still defends a small bit of Earth "somehow". It also might become alive again at somepoint.

There's also robot people. monster robot people from Venus and I'm off to a Reef to meet people that live between the Darkness/Light and have just woken up?

What the hell were they on when writing this?

Well, we went into the raid last night to have a little snoop around in preparation for doing it proper tonight, and the next thing I know we've been there nearly three hours!

Bungie have knocked it out of the park, it has to be said. Very hard to find a criticism other than the absurd $ to £ ratio for the price of the game, but even then I'm not sure that is something to be laid at Bunie's door.

My wife's offer of doing those bastard jumps for me didn't help nor hearing all of you surprised when I actually made it! We should have just refused to step on the plates to open the door to the chest! :P

Yes that's just happened.

I also like/hate how the quest given says one bit of text, the summary on the quest icon. ghost's summary on the quest screen the mission text are all different. And you need all 4 to get the "full" (ha) picture.

But it's still fun to shoot things IN THE FACE.

I did buy red death. But I am glad I did I am fucking loving it. And legendary marks are not hard to come by with a bit of patience. I am also loving all the legendary drops I am getting from faction leveling so really not fussed to buy any legendary at the mo. It's kind of amazing how all the systems finally work together real well to make all different choices of play and leveling viable. Including grinding with coins. :hat:

Yes, but its digital crack. Within a few days you will be asking people if they have room in a raid group. Destiny is a solid shooter which is fun on its own but absolutely amazing with a fireteam of friends.

BTW, most people raid for a couple of hours at a time and once everyone knows what they are doing you can easily knock an entire raid out in under 90 minutes. There are checkpoints during the raid so it's not like you need to do it all in one sitting anyway. The raids reset every Tuesday at 10am so you have plenty of time.

Thank you for the swift response. Looks like I'm in then, once I get home from work.

PS + subs are gonna be the next question. I get a 14 day grace period but anywhere particularly cheap for them?
