Moaning about the Holiday quest. Got the rest of it done it about an hour and a half. One part of it reminded me just why Found Verdict was such a good gun, running around in crucible murdering folk.

The last part is quite tough, but mercifully matchmade. Unlike the old Thorn bounty there is no more having to drum a team up yourself. First attempt did not go well, only one guy with me and they left after about 5 deaths in two minutes. Next attempt I had a full team of three. Last part still really hairy, but we got it done. Crapload of engram drops as well. Shame it looks like I will have to wait till next week for it.

Word on the street is that exotics have a limited set of gunz in them as early days - one assumes your coin whoring so at then moment likely to end up with duplicates!

I have had a few exotics drop with a coin added on a strike etc, always an exotic helmet engram - I have 3 Stags and 2 Obsidiab minds!

Kind of hard to coin whore on a nightfall eh? :P

It still gave me a gun I already had, so I think its a valid complaint. I got the other Invective about 2-3 days ago.

Mood how does the last strike requirement work? I've read some places say you have to kill both bosses with a shotgun and others say you only need to damage the with a shotgun and then kill them however you like

When I did it, three of us were doing it at the same time. As long as one of us got the shotgun kill on each of the bosses, it worked for all of us.

Once levelled up, it's not bad.

Once the ammo runs out, switch to your primary for a few seconds, then switch back. Your Midha will be reloaded, and you'll have hot swap on for a five seconds for extra accuracy.

I'm tempted to feed it to my Susanoo fusion rifle, as that appears to be better all round. But against Taken, Midha's Reckoning is a beast. The Taken Lieutenants go down in two blasts.

That's good to hear, I got one last night and thought it was pants on my first few uses - I was going to pump it into my telesto instead but maybe I'll hold off and test it out a bit more.

I got lucky last night and also got a level 3 rune and the raid rocket launcher (Elulims Frenzy) at 307 drop too. The rocket launcher seems pretty nice but not had chance to test it much.

And the ghost the night before too. You're getting everyone's drops! I've not had anything good since REDACTED* at the weekend other than a pair of 299 boots.

First pack from Dead Orbit last night netted me their Rocket Launcher with Javelin, Grenades and Horseshoes and the utterly baffling (for a rocket launcher) Danger Close. Shame it's only 282 attack and I've no other heavies to infuse it.

Reviews of all the Raid weapons on Planet Destiny and they all look pretty average. Rocket Launcher looks sweet but really need to make sure you get tracking to make it useful and that perk spot is random. Pulse rifle also has some good stats but again the random perks make it or break it.

I want them all of course but there are other legendaries that seem to be as good and better.

Of course, I'm sure hard mode will see some changes and some burn primaries which will be invaluable.

I wouldn't know about any of them yet however as out of the total of 5 chest I've opened in the new raid I have had nothing but shards. It's like an unending fever-dream....,

I'm wondering if the more shards you get, the higher your chance is of getting a weapon from the chests.

I wonder if it consumes them when you defeat Oryx and you need to collect 20 again for the next time a little like how 3 of coins work.

did anyone try zone control yesterday? thought it was rubish on my first match but I started to get into a grove.

We tried it and somehow won but didn't really get into it. Might have been because it was the early hours of the morning though so will give it another try. I do like the concept of having to work to keep control rather than just focus on kills which is what the standard control has become.

I got the sniper last night (but only at light 300... first world problems) but didn't realise at the time that the perks were random. It was bad enough never getting a VoC off Athelon but it's going to be really annoying to finally get a drop and then discover you got a shit roll. Hopefully this supposed intelligent loot table system is going to work. Will it mean we need to shard any weapons we have we don't like to increase the chance of getting it again, or will it be based on what you have ever received like the exotic blueprints?

As for my sniper... here is my roll

Yes, but its digital crack. Within a few days you will be asking people if they have room in a raid group. Destiny is a solid shooter which is fun on its own but absolutely amazing with a fireteam of friends.

BTW, most people raid for a couple of hours at a time and once everyone knows what they are doing you can easily knock an entire raid out in under 90 minutes. There are checkpoints during the raid so it's not like you need to do it all in one sitting anyway. The raids reset every Tuesday at 10am so you have plenty of time.

No, we got to Oryx last night, had a quick look and called time for the night. I suspect there'll be a chest afterwards that costs 20 shards to open, but dunno. I've already got 20 from two incomplete runs, so it's bound to take them off you somehow.

Yeah as Nate said we are at Oryx himself, we have avoided all spoilers and are totally blind hence why it is taking so long. (that and getting everyone available at the same time has been a challenge).

We have strategies down for all of it up to where we are now, execution is where we have fallen a couple of times but our runs are getting quicker. Also had few new players here and there due to people not able to play so it's a case of getting them up to speed with what we have found out and strategies.

As Cayde says, "Ahhh...just shoot them."

I made sure to get a single shotgun blast off on them. First for Charizard, then Blastoise. Then I made sure to do same for Charizard and Blastoise in the tag battle. As far as I can tell, you don't need to kill them, but I have no idea who or what landed the killing blow.

The strike is tough, but doable. My team rolled shotguns all the way through. Which is wrong way to do it, you only need shotguns to hit the bosses. Otherwise, modifier is just specialist. So fusions and snipers also do the extra damage.

Nothin g is more soul destroying than getting into the ship, seeing all those Psions run across the walkway and realising they all have void shields. Take you time, clear put the adds slowly and you will be fine. Some of my guys tackled it like the normal strike, and got dead very quickly.

Revives are fine, you don't have to wait 30 seconds. Just make sure you get in a team of three. If you can get help on here then great, but it is matchmade (thank the Lord). Just go back to orbit and requeue if you are by yourself.

Yeah, after they, thankfully, ditch reforging I was hoping theyd return to the ultimate archetype approach, at least for raid weapons. Thats what made the chase for Fatebringer or VoC so compelling. You knew if you got Fatebringer it would have the godly roll of firefly and outlaw with arc burn and soon as it dropped it was pure joy and relief. Now youll feel a tinge of excitement followed by an inevitable disappointment that you got Icarus or something.

They do look very cool though if not a little creepy.

So Armsday - everyone get the same weapon perks to choose from or is it random?

My Choices are:

Suros DIS 43 Scout : Zen moment, Counterbalance or Hidden Hand

Lyudmila-D Pulse : Danger Close/Full Auto, Army of One/Counterbalance or Glass Half Full/Unflinching

JINGUKOGU-D Shotgun : Final Round/Battle Runner, Danger Close/Who's Next or Final Round/Who's Next

Not got much to choose from for next week, already got 2 of them.
