That's exactly what I said, it's an exploit, it will be patched. They should have just set it to happen on strike bosses and not story mode missions with checkpoints and then it would not have been a problem.

To be honest I really dislike Xur and the whole concept of buying exotics and emgrams. I'd rather get them all through quests and very seldom RNG. So all I've done today is saved a few weeks of waiting for Xur imo.

I got 4 Hereafter's, 3 Alpha Lupi's, 3 Invectives & 2 TLW's. I'd have been pissed to get that many duplicates doing it legit! :hat:

Just got skullfort and noticed it was strength only, whereas the one in the terminal has strength and discipline. Also noticed that the skullfort is now "unlocked" in the terminal, and only costs 1 exotic shard and some glimmer, so scrapped the one I bought and got it out the terminal for better stats.

Thought I'd better post as this could save people spending legendary marks.

Edit: after I did all that, the 2 engrams I decrypted turned into a better skullfort ( :facepalm: ), but also that kickass helm posted a few pages back that I wanted :D

Shame it doesnt seem to match the shader :S

Inspect my Titan. Faction class items can be worn along with another exotic. Its the main perk of the exotic class item. Also has a faction effect on spawn - Dead Orbit has some form of black smoke effect, a bit like when you kill a Hive and they disintegrate.

That "exploit" will undoubtedly be nerfed by removing the chance for Draksis to drop any loot.

I have a non faction exotic bond so that explains that - no where near level 25 with any faction on my fave class so work to do now!

I wasn't going to bother either, but I was in Tesco and walking by the beer when I spied the big yellow sticker under the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. 90p a bottle, fuck the raid!

Bit gobsmacked that the legendary edition disc on ps4 needs an 18gb patch. No Destiny for me tonight :(

The patch is essentially all of the DLC i think.

And the disc is the vanilla game (I have a physical copy myself.) The codes you get with it are just there to unlock DLC content in the big patch.

Got an exotic engram via using the Xur buff thingie on a public event on the Dreadnaught. Ended up getting Telesto(?) the new fusion rifle. It's a beast. Hits them for the rifle shot and then produces void bombs that seek out other mobs (if the original mob dies). Was killing shielded yellows in three hits.

Loving The Taken King so far, there's so much to do and it all feels much more interesting, varied and substantial than before.

Get to level 25 with one of the 3 factions, get a quest to get an exotic class item for that faction. It can be equipped with another exotic armour piece.

Wait two exotic armour pieces... Wow. Any recommendations for a fraction to join for my jolly titan? Also can my alts access the taken King content if they haven't completed house of Wolves and dark below?

Friday night raiders: make sure you pick up the new Eris quest, The Old Hunger. It relates to stuff you do in the raid.

I'm so out of touch, is the new raid live?

Yup. I guess the guys who are already signed in haven't seen any issues, as I was fine myself until I rebooted my PS4 10 minutes ago just to start the raid clean, and now I can't sign in again. Lots of people are reporting that PSN's down, but if you're on it already you may be fine. Bah. Another piece of superb timing.

Edit: oh, I see - people are getting booted too. A bit of a coincidence with the launch of the new raid, one might think.
