Man, that is brutal. Massive commiserations.

I'm sure glitches and bad net code or connectivity will continue to fuck us off in the hardest content, like it has going back to the first raids, but you can't let it get you too down. It's only a daft emblem, so fuck it. No-one will want it in a few days' time, and there'll be new stuff to conquer. Just use the outrage as fuel to kick its ass.

Still spectacularly shit timing though.

Just looked on Bungies forum, and apparently getting the VIP shader etc is a bug. You should delete it and do the questline to get them tomorrow properly.

VIP Rewards went live early! As such, you'll need to delete them (and reaquire them) as part of the opening Quest: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/13550

Yup. Insomniac fashion victims must do the following:

Players who have already collected their Year One VIP rewards will find that they cannot progress the "Veteran's Tour" quest beyond the "Talk to Eva Lavante" step. The shader reward cannot be accepted, and attempting to select the reward will show "Can only hold one at a time."

To complete the "Veteran's Tour," players will need to delete/discard the following items from their inventory in order to accept rewards:

  • "The Old Guard" Shader
  • "Be Brave" Emblem
  • "S-34 Ravensteel" Sparrow
We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.

So was thinking about getting this, but then saw the digital download is the same price in the UK as a physical disc release which comes with the base game and other downloads. Whereas in the US you get it's cheaper by $20 if you're just buying the expansion. Annoyed by that. Yeah I know people have known about this for a a while but not that big in to Destiny so just decided to look it up. May get it when there's a sale/price reduction but don;t feel justified paying the same price for the expansion as a "complete" edition.

PS4... Both myself and my bro. If it was dispatched on Thursday I can only imagine it's lost :( strange though as it seems it's happened to a few people. Usually I get their stuff at least a day early
