Boo! Where do you get exotic shards from, then? Random drops, or from dismmantling exotics? I thought they'd become more valuable now that the exotic vending machine is in place.

Yeah, looks like dismantling exotics is your only option.

Don't recall a shard ever dropping but they may have changed that.

Once you hit Lvl 40 you can shard all your years 1s that have a year 2 version.

I have to ask two of you for a favour. I am 400 points short of Rank 3 with Varik, is anyone willing to run PoE with me? I could chain PoE 28 with randoms but that takes too long. Any takers?

I'll probably be playing tomorrow daytime if that's any good? If you see me online just drop me an invite.

Thanks markh, I'll keep an eye out for you tomorrow :)

Ranks up your faction rep. 100 maxes it out.

What do you mean by maxes it out? Is there a max to the faction reputation? I'd love to reach 25 with Dead Orbit (am 14 now) and am thinking of spending well over 200 Motes of Light just for that.

Hey. I went unbroken just before the patch. Video is somewhat boring. But I HAVE to post it!

How does one get rep for heavy ammo? I am not sure I understand.

Also, should I have pledged alliance to something this week?

If you pledge allegiance to a faction, you can then donate various materials to increase your rep with that faction. I also like the fact that you get rep for both the Vanguard and the Faction now - much better.

I have to say that in terms of the UI and general stuff they've changed, I am impressed. Everything seems more logical, simpler and less tedious. Just hope the new content next week is as impressive.

You have to pledge allegiance to a Faction, once done you can exchange six different items for reputation. From the top of my head: wo motes of light give you 250 rep, four special ammo give you 75 rep etc.

edit: also, I have just pre-ordered the standard digital edition. Before 2.0 I was out, but this patch shows signs of much needed changes and progression.

edit 2: Stolen from Reddit

Yeah Shaxx, you tell 'em!

The emblems will be gained through separate PVP subclass quests, confirms Luke Smith: https://twitter.com/thislukesmith/status/642023683570073600

That's good to know then. Have you done all your sub-class quests for your characters? Wouldnt mind getting them done again like the other day, only on my Hunter and Warlock.

That goes for anyone else that fancies doing a lowbie strike to get your sub-class quests done too. Better to do it with 3 friends than with randoms.

I finally get to see what I bought with my 99p :omg:

Nope. I'll be on later this evening and would be happy to complete the 3rd parts of my two Warlock and two Titan subquests. Was there a particular time you fancied?

Anytime this evening really. I've not started on my Hunters 2 quests yet, only my Warlock, so I'll get cracking on those to bring them up to the point where we need to do a strike.

I was playing Crucible all night last night, after doing 3 nightfalls to get the rep boost for the gun testing on my lock and hunter. Got rank 1 with the gunsmith on my lock, after cursing muchly about how bad the sniper you have to use is. Really lifted my spirits afterwards when I played Rift and used the Mida to run like a madman and score, killing 3-4 people around the Rift - Cue Shaxx "This is amazing!" etc. :lol:8-)

Ok. I'll probably be on at 8. Maybe a bit before.

I tried levelling up the two test weapons in Crucible last night. It was a mistake to try the fusion rifle (a class I rarely use) initially in my first encounter with Rift, a game type I'd never played, on a new map. I managed one kill and a lot of deaths, and the mercy rule, mercifully, kicked in to end our slaughter. I eventually got the ten kills with it in some Control games, then switched to the sniper and was even worse with it. Hateful, hateful gun. Only managed one kill with that, and quit before the second game. So I might go Controlling again after our strikes to get the other nine kills with it.

I predict a long night, and a final K/D of 0.1.

The Sniper you have to level in PvP is awful, worst sniper I've ever used in PvP and the fusion isn't much better!

Annoyingly while I have done the void walker quest I was just about to finish the sunslinger when I got a never ending loading message and then a new to me kick error - peregrine

Asshats
