I dont exactly trust Bungie on this one, purely because I just checked the emblem terminal and it does actually say if you complete your sub-class* (*insert whatever your sub-class is here) quest you get an emblem. I could be wrong of course, and some new sub-class quests may be available next Tuesday that have nothing to do with the ones available now, but I'm not taking any chances. I'll hang on to my quests (that are ready to hand in) until Tuesday - if nothing else I'll get some extra xp.

If you're right about the missing emblem, you might have left it too late by generating the reward package anyway, even though you didn't pick it up - it only mentions a class item in there. Maybe it's set now. I dunno even then; I don't see why the Bungie guy would lie so explicitly and publicly about it when it'll become clear next week what you get.

I've seen posts saying the emblem is for the PvP sub-class quests. Who knows at this point.

Edit: I'm not saying the guy from Bungie was lying or anything, but he could be mistaken or just not have all the info is what I meant. I'm just not willing to take that chance.

Was reading the taken king only has 1 new area? So whats going to be the big difference justifying the purchase, are all the story stikes going to change?

4 new strikes, 1 new raid. About 8 hours of new story stuff apparently. The new patrol is supposed to be suitably tough too.

In all honesty probably not £40 worth of new content but to keep playing Destiny and the endless loot addiction you basically need to buy it...

Did VoG last night, had a glitch at Atheon, then did Crota and the sword disappeared. Just like old times!

I sharded my Black Hammer. You hand the rune into Eris, which only gives you rep at this point. I'm guessing I'll get something else come Tuesday. If you're worried about your precious redundant weapons it might be best to hold off til Tuesday just in case.

We did Crota last night and had a new glitch enemy strategy. We were doing Crota as normal and were on the second sword when we suddenly couldn't find the sword-bearer. After searching round everywhere outside and downstairs he suddenly killed one of us on the ledge through the window. Turns out he'd managed to teleport run inside when no-one was looking and was chilling out in the crystal room.

I don't know that we were doing any shooting at the time as we were all looking for the Swordbearer. Funny though!

I dismantled 2 x Fang of Ir Yut, 1 Light of the Abyss and 1 Abyss Defiant with nothing but weapons parts and Energies from it, Same with a couple of armour pieces. Might try for a Black Hammer on normal tonight, still to run Crota on my Warlock.

Another thing I noticed last night - you can't Razor's Edge enemies through the barriers at the start of Crota any more :(

that was totally me. was looking for him downstairs and chillaxing on the ledge when i got a sword up my rectum. that was unprovoked!

What's the deal with the prototype guns you get from that old robot dude that I'd forgotten even existed? I did a couple of gun tests last night - do you hand them back in once you've finished? How long can you keep them for?

You can shard them. Gunsmith rep is added on completion of the challenge. You can't vault them either so no real reason to keep them.

The gunsmith weapons testing thing is a great addition, I'm going to try and finish them all off tonight, I'll probably not get on much now til Tuesday.
