In fairness, a helmet would be pretty good for me. In fact, I quite wanted the chest last week (though I've still only run PoE once, on 28), but this would actually be better - I've got two levelled Exotics (Claws of Ahamkara and Voidfang Vestments) and no upgraded Legendary armour, so a helmet would (probably) get me up to 33 and enable me to continue wearing whichever Exotic I feel like at the time. (I've started wearing the Claws with Sunsinger, so I get two charges on both the grenade and melee, and the Vestments when I'm playing PvP and fancy giving my Axiom Bolts a little extra kick.)

Of course, I'm currently very much more of a casual Destiny player, so my opinion is probably null and void(walker).

What is it with the Queen and her love for Strength? At this rate I'll never reach 34 without having 6000 Strength, and 0 Intellect and Discipline.

A helmet. Classic Bungie troll. Why do they dislike their players so much?

I don't really get what you are saying, it is specifically done that way so you can only be a rubbish level 34 - it would be utterly shit if everyone was level 34 with nothing to do armour wise inside a week.

Nightfall is silly easy, first one and got another Ram - my RNG trolling duplication is ongoing for another week it seems, slightly better stats so shared the week old one...

The promise of etheric light may be the thing to get me playing Iron Banner for the first time though I'm expecting it to be pretty brutal as I'm new.

Yeah, that's my thinking. Couple of Etheric light, some non-shitty shoes and I can maybe stand a chance at lvl 34 PoE and get some more EL and maybe start ascending those weapons.

Fuck me, Bungie make you work.

Question now though, is Variks a bigger knobber than Xur

Anyone on here tend to play during the day, UK time, on XB1? I've got a few spare days this week and would love some people to go through some Nightfalls, PoE and IB with?

I might be tomorrow but aren't usually - add me :) and what's your tag? I don't have signatures on

How is Bungie being a troll? That helmet will get me to 34.

Reminds me of when my mate said that Xur was selling 'a load of shit' one week, only to find he was selling the Helm of Saint 14 and Ice Breaker.

Where's the lowest price for the season pass for this? Am I likely to get it any cheaper than the £34.99 that the Xbox store is charging for it?

Best to wait for a Destiny store sale to pick it up at a discounted price. I think it was on sale before the release of House of Wolves.

If you can wait I am sure it will be on sale again during the summer.

When I was bringing my Warlock up I played IB at lvl 30 quite happily without suffering too much at the hands of lvl 32s. Unlike ToO where it seems to have a huge impact, IB has a lot more action and targets running around so if you take someone on there is a much higher chance you won't be alone or that they are already damaged. How the lvl 365 weapons will change this dynamic I'm dont know.

So I don't mind at all the piece about being a rubbish 34. Well, I do, but I guess I get it. If no-one wants to run their lvl 34 Variks armour because it's all Strength, there's your incentive to be running PoE at 34/5, so you can get Etheric Light to upgrade your favourite Legendary armours. That's fine.

What I do think is lame is that for most people, the exotic they like is a head or chest or arms. (It's Helm of Saint-14, or Heart of the Praxic Fire, or Mask of the Third Man, or Don't Touch Me, or Ruin Wings, or Alpha Lupi or Armamentarium or Obsidian Mind etc.) It's not Mk 44 Stand Asides or Radiant Dance Machines. And Warlocks don't even have Exotic legs, do they?

So for a fair few people, this just puts off lvl34 for another week for no reason. I suppose you could argue it encourages you to run the 34 at 33 again, but that's A: a slog and B: etheric light I'd want to start using on some weapons!

Lack of weapon parts has become a massive problem. How is everyone farming them, Ether Chests for shitty blues?

I've got over 500 of the buggers no need to farm. Oh 'Loot Cave' gone but not forgotten.

You could spend some glimmer on getting engrams from the cryptarch?

Well Variks has given me a reason to use the Judgements Chance now at least. I have like 5 or 6 of the weapon cores because I'll be damned if I use a fusion rifle, and that auto rifle wasn't much cop either.

I had that many not two weeks ago, but the Gunsmith's Reforge option is like some evil slot machine from hell...sprinkled with crack.

I would certainly agree with your point about the exotic leg armour not being the preferred option, but I hardly think that equates to being trolled by Bungie. Personally I'd rather get to 34 and wear some exotic boots for a bit if it means packing a bit more punch in lvl 34 PoE.

It does make me wonder why there's no Exotic leg options for Warlocks though.
