Let's aim to crack the Nightfall. I can be on earlier if that helps?

If anyone wants to Join us for the Nightfall tonight, let us know.

Let's stick with 8pm & Weavus can join us when he gets online to help us finish the boss.

I'm going to skip the raid at 9pm (thanks for the offer Gerry) I think I will be pushing my luck with the missus with the Thursday raid attempt also.

There's another thread in the online folder for The Dark Below dlc. Would be good to have a list of players who are definitely getting it. :)

Please don't take discussion of the DLC into the Online folder. It's general discussion of the game, and taking talk of the new content over to a dedicated folder within a sub forum is just watering down discussion of the game in general on the forum. I understand why some people might want a separate place to put lists of who is raiding with whom, and when (although I think this is a mistake too, because it discourages more casual drop-ins), but taking discussion of new content over there is the first step to fragmenting the player base and leaving people having to check numerous threads for info they'd previously have got in one, or repeating a post across different sub-forums.

This thread's been a huge success in helping newer players (including me) into the game, and I dare say it's been interesting from time to time for non players to see what's going on. Splitting up talk across different areas of the forum is usually a mistake - like with music stuff, I (for example) often don't know whether to post something in Music, or the Guitar folder (if it involves playing a guitar), or Creative Design, where there's several threads about making music, etc. It just ends up leading to a bunch of little ghettoes, and people putting things in weird places where they're not seen by as many as would be interested. I think this DLC post is a good example of what happens - it'll be a real shame if stuff like DLC talk doesn't happen here because we've already got a thread in a sub forum called 'The Dark Below'.

Quick poll, how many people are going to cheese nightfall this week under the patio?

If I am doing it solo then most definitely, especially today as I will be doing it on lunch from work.

Twice now I have killed myself (grenade/rocket launcher) half way through the boss battles solo, the hurt is real.

Couldn't agree more, it's a tight knit destiny community on here in this thread and to be honest most of us are at the "end game content" and are all loving gearing up and getting to the VoG for our loot fix, to me it makes sense to contain that in this thread. If the new sub forum dilutes that it will be a real shame but if the general consensus is for it to be elsewhere then I will try to make it work.

On a second note Gorf I have requested to join your Destiny clan on Bungie.net. (I believe RAMB01stBL00D has too Bonzai1888 from the forum)

Not a chance, I get much more of a kick out of finishing it with the intended challenge than finishing it just to finish it.

Last weeks 2-man Nightfall gave me one of the biggest gaming FUCK YEAS i've had in a long time, i'd like to have that feeling (in my pants) again ^_^

I will try to finish it in the heroic manner but there's a high chance I'll end up cheesing it through frustration :hmm:

Yeah I can understand that but the 9x melee damage from the Fallen Vandals is making even my Titan Defender worried. The bit where all the stealth ones rush out is going to be intense, as will the snipers with arc damage...

Hard Raid guys you need to check where these guys go at the oracle section and relic section, this is crazy and i've never even noticed this spot.... 13mins exactly then keep watching.

Any/all of you are welcome tomorrow with us at 9pm. But we'll have to decide which two before then, as I don't want to keep everyone hanging around. Obv keen relic holders and/or Titans are preferred, but I'm not going to be so mean (or decisive) as to pick and choose.

Oh, and you'd better add MikeDracula to your PSN friends list unless you've already got Soi, or K, or mop, as otherwise it'll be like not having each others' phone numbers when you arrange a date, and in fact the only phone numbers you do have are those of your two ex-wives who don't want you to phone them anyway as they'll be enthusiastically shagging their new lovers as you wander past their seedy little flats in the rain one night, the night of your anniversary, silently weeping, weeping, but you don't really care. I do think thread is moving a bit fast to keep up with all that arranging of things. No problem with people spamming links in here (ie need four more people, check this sweet thread out) for it, but it might make it a bit easier to follow having this separate folder.

Of course, I am one of the righteous and noble F1 crew, keeping the online section going despite having to watch Marmite win all the races and listen to Sixbuttons on a bi-weekly basis.
