Ok you are ahead of me in the story so will be better equipped.

I'll see you around 9:30 to 10 after I've finished the nightfall strike.

9pm for the Nightfall strike if anyone fancies helping me hide behind boxes?

For those who have completed the Raid on hard, I'm curious to know, how hard is it exactly in comparison to the regular Raid?

I've not completed it yet on normal but I think hard has no revives.

Does anyone else not bother with the Crucible?

I know I'm probably missing out on a huge chunk of the game but I haven't looked at it once (level 20) because it doesn't appeal. I want co-op.

I've had 3 exotics out of the Crucible I think. Just to show you can get some nice stuff out of it.

Plus the 3 factions have far more customisable armour (stats wise), and better weapons a lot of the time too than the vanguard vendor does.

There are no revives, more gorgons, everyone who doesn't get teleported at the Atheon stage gets detained and everything is level 30.

So no change to the raid (bar level 30 stuff) up till the maze part with the gorgons? The Templar fight is the same as normal?

I haven't completed it but I can tell you that the no revive thing makes it balls to the wall hard. The templar fight and shit may be the same, but if you lose a couple of people then you're done for.

Top tip for anyone new to the game: when swapping weapons, always make sure you press the X button and not the square one, and then hold down the square one for several seconds as if in a trance as you watch your only legendary sniper rifle, which is fully upgraded, which is also your only void secondary weapon, get recycled. Because you probably don't want to do that, not a couple of days before a raid. Unless you didn't like it anyway.

I'm not sure if this is some weird coincidence, but since finishing hard mode and donning my new helmet, I've noticed an increase in purple drops. I got a Legendary engram from a chest on Mars last night when doing a relic iron run, I also did a tiger strike last night and got a purple drop. Today I was on patrol on Venus and got another purple drop, and just now I was on mars for another relic iron run, and got yet another purple drop.

The fuck?

I've had that happen, but it was a week or so after I got all my raid + exotic helmet fully upgraded. Been having a fair few legendary drops on both characters since, and though some have turned out to be useless armour items I've just sharded, one did turn into the exotic I've been after for months, so who knows.

Ascendant Energy I got some from following the public events on Earth but after the fourth event it did not give me any rewards? Yet the other player in my fireteam did receive some loot.

Is there a limit to how many events you can farm?

Its just random. I've done a fair few, didn't get anything for the first, then got a shard/energy from the 2nd and third, then another dry spell.

Edit: Server just seems to have died. I got the usual game freeze on a loading screen (seems to happen mostly when flying to a planet, and is usually after playing a long time), and now cant log in with the server being down. So don't think its just you that cant log in, it seems to be Bungies fault.

Xbone raid crew did it.

Indeed, well done all. Was actually amazing how quickly we finished off the Atheon part which was all we had left last night, I think we got slightly lucky with some of the teleports when people were dead though. Obviously all those hours of practice paid off!

The speed at which we then got back to the templar, and then almost defeated him first go was pretty impressive too, so I can see how the PS4 crews are getting through it all so quickly.

If the hard raid team that was at Atheon needs a player tonight I can be available from 5:30 - 9pm, also my warlock will be level 29 instead of 28. ( I can use my level 30 titan if preferred/needed but obviously would love to get more gear with my Warlock )

Don't give up on that checkpoint, it resets tomorrow !
