Permission granted for me to join the Sunday 5pm raid team, from she who must be obeyed (or at least strongly reminded that she has loads of horses eating all her time and dollars, if she gives me aggro about gaming - yeah, I wear the trousers around here, sunshine). Looking forward to breezing through it in a couple of hours. Am I right?

We smashed hard mode this afternoon, then went back to the tower to wind down.

Here's us plotting our next raid. I'm making a stupid suggestion, they're all sat there thinking, 'stupid cunt'.

So then I open up the bar for post raid celebrations. Carnage ensues as Willei tries to get my attention, p1nseeker's already pointing at the drink he wants, while Lyrical is giving Willei the "you fucking pushing in, mate?" evil stare.

Finally they all agree to let p1nseeker go first, but the fucking tit forgot to get cash out.

Then they all realise they have no cash. I'm standing there telling them off, and they're all stood in the queue thinking, 'stupid cunt'.

:D I can't believe we smashed it in, what, 2 hours? Fucking great show fellas!! And not only did I get one of the four items I said I'd be happy with (Warlock helm), I also got a pretty fucking tasty fusion rifle called Praetorian Foil. It's almost got a maxed bar for impact!! :o

Now I just need Xur to sell Heart of Praxic Fire armour, and I can hit lvl 30!! :D

Sorry to read of the B team's woes - if it's any consolation we spent hours at the same part you did, postponed until the monday, and then gave up as we'd had enough. You will get it! But yeah, some more level 30s will help. Once I'm up to lvl 30 I'm happy to join up with either team.

Well done chaps!

What did everyone else get? Anything good?

The Wife is out for a full day, so I thought I would use the opportunity to try the raid for the first time. Posted in the LFR thread on bungie and had an invite within 10 minutes, another 15 minutes passed and we had a full group and off we went. I'll be honest I was quite nervous as I was the only one in the group who was in there for the first time and really didn't know what I was doing other than what I had seen on a few videos.

Opened the gate with no bother at all moved on, opened a couple of chests and got myself some Ascendant Materials.

The next section for me was where the realm of unknown began, I just picked a spot to defend and stayed there until called to the the middle to kill the fanatics and avoided the green stuff, shot down oracles as they appeared. After we defended we all hid in a corner and slowly began to knock the templar off the ledge and for the cheapness I was rewarded with Raid legs with only discipline which for me was a waste as my discipline was already maxed out.

Next we went after some more chests, avoided the Gorgons then did some platforming which was very embarrassing as it took a good 5 attempts for me to get across!

Then it was onto the final chamber, did some more defending and then eventually he came! The man himself, Atheon! Again at first I only had a vague idea of what to do, on my first attempt I was the only one who got teleported to mars, had no idea what was happening and we wiped. But slowly I got used to how things worked, asked to go to venus to cover, went to mars instead, doh! But after a few wipes (not many of which where my fault) we started to pull it together and he went down!

I was rewarded with Plan C and the legendary ship I really wanted chatterwhite but got a ship instead.

Took just over 2hrs to complete and loved every second of it, I reckon it will take me another run or so to get to know the area better (chests and gorgons) But I can't wait to go back again next week.

I love this game!

Question! If you've already done the raid once in a week, can you reply it and still loot the chests? Or do you have to go to hard difficulty to get anymore stuff?

Once a week I'm afraid, and I'm not sure the chests even reset if you're doing it on Hard after a Normal one.

Apologies to Hard mode Team B for the bail, and probably for being lowest on the kill list most tries too!

Hard mode is, err, damn hard. But If anyone is interested in re-scheduling another try count me in.

In other news, this game really need a vote to kick option, I'm getting really tired of getting to a boss fight and having some cunt go afk with his toon hid in a corner :quote:

Hmm, I seem to have a hangover again so it must mean it is raid o'clock! We've still got a spare space to fill if anyone fancies it?
