Was indeed great fun once again, even if it took a while to get everyone to be able to hear each other. There are certainly 3 chatterboxes on the team though (Krypt, Panda and myself) so I do feel a bit sorry for the other 3 who never get a word in edge ways .

Atheon will go down on Sunday, we have it down now, just need to put that perfect run together (and get a bit lucky with who and where we get teleported). By the end I think the fatigue was begining to set in as we were all begining to make little mistakes which can cost you dear. I'm just glad that my grenades charge so slowly that it makes no sense what-so-ever for me to pick up the relic, that is some top level responsibility!

Ah, I should have explained better. I meant we should only stay on that middle platform until we're free of the containment fields. After that we should of course go to whichever portal they're at. It's purely to avoid jumping away, only to get detained with a load Harpies surrounding you pulling trollfaces and shouting "problem, Guardian?"

Ah, OK. I probably should've downed more coffee before replying. There's still time to let off a few rockets after the portal team kill the last Oracle. I think we were mostly rushing to the middle as soon as we got the buff, which is fine and dandy on normal...

I'll try and clear up as much as I can before letting rip at Atheon.

I really wish I could have known the voidfang vestments were on sale so often, so I could have had the icebreaker that fateful first week, as everyone seems to be having a great time using it. I've got a fully levelled praedyth's revenge though, and that is some beast.

I hope there's enough people to scrape together a normal raid at some point this weekend, would be remiss of me to let a chance at getting my hunter some raid gear slip by.

Truth worth getting if you don't have gjallahorn?

I posted here shitting on Truth last time it was on sale on the basis that the lock on perk is shite and it's just a standard rocket launcher otherwise, but I got one from the raid last week and I'm going to have to eat some crow to say it's actually pretty good. The lock on happens the instant you sight an enemy and it'll nimble enough to chase down any enemy movement short of a teleport. Between that and the horseshoes perk (rockets detonate near if they get near enemies) you basically can't miss. All base stats on it for reload, rocket speed, and above all blast radius are great - all the bars are almost all the way to the right apart from fire rate. The only real problem it has is that it's quite easy to kill youself with it!

I don't have a Gjallahorn to compare it to, but it's replaced my Steel Oracle with cluster rockets as my go-to heavy weapon.

Sorry mate last spot has been filled but I guarantee theres enough people to start a second group and I will start the second group below.

Regarding a second hard group. Both DChampX and Jerec are keen to crack hard mode. They're both lvl 29,and like me are, I believe, only one piece of armour away from lvl 30.

I can start a second Hard Raid list if you can get confirmations from them? and is 12pm Sat ok as a start time?

I must admit I'm tempted to jump ship too. Of the group of forumizers that finished the raid last Sunday, I was the only one in MUK, I think.

I think only four of us were forumizers, mind.

Anyone on the fence about Truth, DO IT! It's bloody brilliant, as someone mentioned, nearly maxed blast radius and velocity and the proximity detonation just makes it incredibly useful. It's a wrecking machine in PvP too.

Have a titan put a bubble down (which we mostly have been anyway) at the back of the middle platform when the time is almost up, and have everyone stay in the bubble. If all three who don't get detained are together, you can get out of the detainment fields sooner, and in relative safety because Harpies don't go to the middle platform - so no chance of them overwhelming/surprising anyone.

The only issue I see with this is if the titan bubble is bigger than the detainments fields, we'll be stuck and unable to shoot our way out. We may have to look at timing the titan bubble so that it goes down at the right time. But I honestly reckon this strategy will limit our failures at that point.

Based on my extensive experience playing classes other than Titan, I feel like the bubble is smaller than the containment field - I think you're making the same point but have to back to front here, but if the bubble is smaller than the containment field then your bullets will get stopped by the bubble before they impact the field. Perhaps you can get around this by making sure you stand on the edge of the bubble so you can see one edge of the containment field from inside the bubble?

Should be pretty exciting having two hard raid teams starting at same time, RobotFalcon101 is my cousin who always comes round on a Saturday after we have been to the gym to play destiny (going to get him to sign up to the forum) so I can check how far along they are and vice versa
