Went through the daily then worked on my warlock for a bit, she's up to level 17 now and rising fast. It just shows the quality/addictiveness of the game that I am thoroughly enjoying playing through at lower levels and learning the different styles with her. Got a hunter hovering on 10 also that needs attention. There's just not enough time...

Just approved Suchuu, psRud, and GMass to the clan. You now need to (stupidly) go back to the site and click "Set as playstation clan", and I or Mike or another admin have to approve that as well.

To the hard mode group - we still on for tomorrow afternoon? I know a good strategy to avoid getting killed by Harpies after a stint shooting at Atheon. DChampX came up with this idea when doing normal mode for the first time - it proved too problematic at the time, but post-patch it makes perfect sense:

Have a titan put a bubble down (which we mostly have been anyway) at the back of the middle platform when the time is almost up, and have everyone stay in the bubble. If all three who don't get detained are together, you can get out of the detainment fields sooner, and in relative safety because Harpies don't go to the middle platform - so no chance of them overwhelming/surprising anyone.

The only issue I see with this is if the titan bubble is bigger than the detainments fields, we'll be stuck and unable to shoot our way out. We may have to look at timing the titan bubble so that it goes down at the right time. But I honestly reckon this strategy will limit our failures at that point.

What about when the Relic team come back out of the portals? It shouldn't be too difficult to get the majority of the Harpies killed while the Relic team are in the portal. It's easy enough to take them out by standing on top of the portal gates with Rocket Launchers.

Like LeChuck says, a few people joined the group (and were approved) a while back, but once that's done you have to then go back to the group page and click on the 'Set as PlayStation Clan' link to join the clan. I'm afraid there's no notifications for any of this stuff - well, I don't get any - you just have to check in every once in a while.

I've just popped in there and approved a couple more clan applications. That now makes 20 in the clan and another 8 who are only in the group. I've also made every single member an admin so you can all do this stuff if you like.

I had an unexpectedly amazing VoG run with randoms last night. They cheesed the Gatekeeper (I think that's that bit - the one with the shield you need the relic super to break) so we got the extra chest. Got The Last Word from it! Then at another chest I got raid boots that gives me extra heavy weapon ammo (sweet) and then after Atheon I got Atheon's Epilogue! Plus the usual smattering of mats and the obligatory Chatterwhite.

I thought I might take a break from this for a bit to play something else but now I have the wild west handcannon I simply must fully upgrade it. Only downside is now I need something like in excess of 200 Relic Iron...

Completed the Nightfall for the first time last night, was great fun and the challenge was refreshing. Looking to move onto the raid now, feel under pressure to get it done with the announcement of the upcoming expansion in December!

Hardbattle showed me the Sparrow surfing last night, but I couldn't see him doing it, and he couldn't see me. Seems a client side only glitch, with other players only able to see the glitch if you go through an area that has to load.

Exotic weapon tip: If anyone gets Universal Remote don't think that the universal remote perk will make it like a scout rifle with the damage of a shotgun, because it doesn't. This perk is exactly the same as the Range Finder perk on normal shotguns, and as this is a primary weapon its sort of pointless. I tested this on both mobs around the world and in pvp and its better to just get a shotgun with the perk (Hide and Seek-42 from Dead Orbit) than use this. Of course if you like using a sniper rifle and a shotgun then I guess its a good combination, but anything else seems pointless.

Yeah, I have Universal Remote too and I have to say, I'm really disappointed with it. I thought it would at least be good when defending the Conflux in the raid, but even here I find my hand cannon a lot more useful. What a shame

Was indeed great fun once again, even if it took a while to get everyone to be able to hear each other. There are certainly 3 chatterboxes on the team though (Krypt, Panda and myself) so I do feel a bit sorry for the other 3 who never get a word in edge ways .

Atheon will go down on Sunday, we have it down now, just need to put that perfect run together (and get a bit lucky with who and where we get teleported). By the end I think the fatigue was begining to set in as we were all begining to make little mistakes which can cost you dear. I'm just glad that my grenades charge so slowly that it makes no sense what-so-ever for me to pick up the relic, that is some top level responsibility!

Interesting. I have 30 motes, and an exotic helmet instead of my current Titan Alpha Lupi chest would make the path to 30 possible without needing to crack the Raid on Hard. Do they have a 33% chance of decrypting to a Titan class, same as anything else?

Are any of the 360 bods still playing? I've been plugging away when I can but starting to lose the will.

I've only 2 bits of purple gear, and can't do the weekly stuff on my own, let alone a raid, so can't get access to the good drops from those, I can't ammass enough motes or coins or anything to buy stuff, so it's slowly grinding out crucible and vanguard rep, to try and save up for bits of tat from those guys.

I've got a exotic bounty that wants me to get 500 arbitrary points from void damage in crucible but dying sets you back, I'm horrible at crucible and the only void gun I have is a fusion rifle which are too hard to use in crucible, so until I get a void shotgun I'm screwed on that.

Just finding it a bit of a slog on my own. Feel like I've hit the wall, so I started a hunter, but doing cosmodrome missions again is a bit dull.

I can't see how they'd have anything but a 1 in 3 chance, aye. I bought a helmet engram from him last week and I got lucky, as it turned into the Mask of the Third Man (Hunter), same as he's selling this week. Depends if you fancy the odds, but if you get the Titan helm obviously that's your level 30 sorted.
