Anybody up for another raid run tonight?

About 7:30pm onwards, 3 players so far:

Can I join in as hunter (29) number 3 please? This will be the raid of no utility.

Self resurrection and nova bomb sound amazing though.

I have more joy with god-mode damage reduction instead of self resurrect in PvP, you can run at someone who's firing a heavy machine gun at you and sticky grenade them in the face and live to tell the tale. That's just in the first few seconds ^_^

Self resurrect is more useful for skirmish and salvage mind, and has some comedy value when the guy who kills you looks the other way, only for you to punch them in the back of the head.

Weekly and daily done last night, thanks Baring, Droodling (before you kept getting kicked) and Teeohbee at the end. Both got legendaries and I got bloody rares, typical. I think Baring worked out why you were getting kicked Droodling but you'd understandably left after a few tries.

So who's up for a Sat evening (GMT) raid party then, the usual suspects? The wife is out for a few hours at least so lets do it.

Put your name down and lets go, all welcome. I also got the oracle upgrade on my atheon's epilogue last night so that should help a lot.

And to echo others here, I am utterly addicted to this even though I have limited play time, I see now what WoW players have experienced for years. I should also be playing Fifa for league practice and literally haven't played a game in 2 weeks, which could be a problem but what the hell!

I've been a WoW player on and off (mostly on but the off gaps are getting longer) since 2005 and I'm genuinely unsure where my priorities will lie next Thursday when the new WoW expansion drops. Destiny's claws are in deep. And it's quite nice not to sit at a desk whilst playing too!

Tried Soloing the weekly last night, if I had only seen that cheesing video a few pages ago I'd have done it, got overcome by the minions whilst ammo running.

Tonight I shall prevail, or I'll be on looking for someone to help me get the coins about 11pm!

PS4? if so add me bazra1985, I don't mind helping if I'm on at that time and have finished the raid for this evening (I should be).

Make sure you buy some ammo packs you will run out, this is why I need the icebreaker weapon.

Are there other weapons that also have the no backpack skill?

Hardbattle showed me the Sparrow surfing last night, but I couldn't see him doing it, and he couldn't see me. Seems a client side only glitch, with other players only able to see the glitch if you go through an area that has to load.

Exotic weapon tip: If anyone gets Universal Remote don't think that the universal remote perk will make it like a scout rifle with the damage of a shotgun, because it doesn't. This perk is exactly the same as the Range Finder perk on normal shotguns, and as this is a primary weapon its sort of pointless. I tested this on both mobs around the world and in pvp and its better to just get a shotgun with the perk (Hide and Seek-42 from Dead Orbit) than use this. Of course if you like using a sniper rifle and a shotgun then I guess its a good combination, but anything else seems pointless.

Because we all care about that. Getting Atheon to 10%, having two down in the main room, portal open, relic team heading back clean only for an invisible oracle, or spawn in the other portal kill everyone is utterly unacceptable given the difficulty of actually getting to that point. On hard. With four people at 29.

I don't care if Kangaroo Jack beat the raid, obviously they had no bugs. Fuck off Bungie, address the complete state that you're "ultimate" PvE challenge boss is currently in. Or just fix an entirely repeatable "bug" that was clearly an intended mechanic because people are besting you're precious raid in well under an hour. Ridiculous.

Just checking in on the Renegades clan after doing my occasional bout of going into the admin tab to approve applications it hasn't notified me of (which it never does), we have 21 group members but only 14 clan members. I realise some people will want to be in/follow the group but not be in the clan, but I'm just making sure... if you do want to be part of the clan, could you remember to apply separately for that once you're in the group? Because clan membership doesn't follow automatically just because you're in the group. Ta.

Also, if a couple of you clannies want to link up with me and do a strike to unlock the clan-only strike trophy, that'd be good. Amazingly, I've only ever done strikes with at least one non-MUKR party member before. (And one day we'll have to arrange a raid on the same basis, of course.)

A 9.30 start should be pretty good for me too. Would be nice to actually do a raid from start to finish for once
