Excellent! Props for getting down in one :) did you go down the right like what I did or use all the platforms? The 'proper' way looks like a right hassle.

Yeah, I followed your lead and to be honest it felt like a bit of a fluke that I made it. That fucking ledge though. Pfft.

The reasoning behind the Titan class item

So I've seen a lot of hate on the Titan "butt-towel," as so many have taken to naming it. But do you know why it's there, or what it's for?

Everyone knows that Hunter cloaks are simply there for aesthetic value, and that Warlock bonds are so small they're not quite worth commenting on. But what about the Titan ass-flap?

Fellow Titans, it is time we explain the necessity of our washcloth. For without it, where would we wipe the excessive amount of blood and brain that weighs down our fists, altering the aerodynamics of what would have been a well-thrown punch?

You see, as a Titan, we need to keep our gauntlets reasonably clean, so enemy combatants are not only invited to rest their faces upon our beautifully polished mitts, but so our fists can fly straight and true and quick, so we may widen the mouth-hole Hunters love to brag out of, or so we can turn a Warlock visor into something resembling the sphincter they like to speak from.

And, when worst comes to worst, we must give our erroneous brothers a fitting death by bashing their own skull in, be it with fist, shoulder, or knee. And then we may take their towel and wipe their blood on it, laying them to rest.

So, call our butt-flaps what you will. Have a laugh. It won't matter when it's saturated with your hopes and dreams.


I should be on tonight with my lvl 28 titan if there is any space on a raid?

There is a space on ours mate if you are interested? 7:30pm, we are running it twice but feel free to bail after the first. Shall I put your name down?

My favourite bit of the Raid last night was the bit on the final part where for some reason only Gorf and I got teleported and we still managed to take out all the oracles and portal out. Him slowly walking down the stairs shooting like Robocop, me Captain America-ing fools to death with the shield. It was so awesome.

Loving the raid reports, fellas! Reminds me of when I did it with a team of noobs, though we had some guidance from p1nseeker for most of it. That feeling when you nail Atheon the first time is brilliant. For me it was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I've ever had.

4 hours of shooting that giant silver bastard will do that! ;)

And I agree Mark, when he turned to ash, it was one of most satisfying gaming events I've experienced, and I hope to get the same feeling once we do it on Hard.

Absolutely loved the Xbox One Raid attempt last night. Seems a shame that content as great as this is a lot less accessible for most players.

It just highlights how the rest of the game could benefit from some of the puzzle, platforming and stealth sections that make the Raid so entertaining. But it's not just the gameplay, the atmosphere and sense of place in the vault are so effective as well. Can't wait to get stuck back in.

I got it first time too! I was just behind you actually and then also fell to my death in EXACTLY the same way.

I know we had a few goes on the Templar but I bet we spent most time in the &@£?*#% maze. Ridiculous. Even more so that 3 of us had done that bit before.

It was awesome. Although I feel like I'm missing some thanks for popping in through the portal and helping out there.

How long did it take you?

Funniest bit was once we FINALLY found the exit, we couldn't get our shit together to all get there without being spotted by a gorgon. Cue lots of "sorry guys, that was was me" re-attempts.

I've been level 28 for weeks.

Blimey, didn't realize that. Surely they'll have to address that at some point though right? Otherwise as the level cap increases over time there will be a crazy amount of people who won't progress.

I've got a fully upgraded Exotic chest piece and some Raid boots, but the chances of me getting that Raid helmet on Hard...well, I guess it could happen, but certainly not any time soon.

Yep that's why I feel a bit stuck. I can complete the raid, nightfall and weekly then I must wait til Tuesday to give them another crack.

I've started a warlock to keep me busy though. This game is amazing.

I'm in the same boat, in my first 2 raids I got gauntlets and leg armour, just need the chest armour but I have completed a further 7 raids i'd take a guess at and nothing, not even weapons to be honest, just shards, chatterwhites and ships.

I imagine that as more content arrives, the situation will stay that the level cap will be only attained via multiple plays of the latest raid. That keeps the hard core interested.

Given that most players won't play the raid at all, and given how many raids are necessary for RNG to give you a full raid set, it follows that there must be an easier path for levelling as the cap increases.

This is the rocket launcher I got from the Raid attempt yesterday.

I've never use rocket launchers, always The Swarm machine gun but will level this up & give it a try because it has an Oracle Disruptor skill (bonus damage to oracles in the vault of glass).

Hearing the loot-related tales of woe in here and looking at the table of raid drops linked above, I'm starting to understand how outrageously lucky I've been in the last few days. I got an exotic helm from Xur at the weekend, then gloves, chest and boots in my first ever raid last night. Sounds like it's the dream set-up and the fast (!) track to level 30.

I suck at weapons though, really.

Don't see the point in using a rocket launcher against an oracle, seems a complete waste unless the blast radius can take out all 7 in the relic phase...

Doubt it, I've been happily using my Suros Regime to take them out with a couple of shots.

I've not got a Rocket Launcher so will keep it, could come in handy.
