I've got 150 vanguard points which I was going to use to purchase a sniper rifle but I'm not sure which is the best to purchase?

I purchasedEpitaph 2261 from the Vanguards. Seems pretty decent with Arc damage.

We failed. We got to the gatekeeper bit before Atheon, and called it. I'll be honest, it's more fun on lvl 26. A LOT!! Actually, it would be more fun even at level 30 if you could simply revive your teammates. I don't think I'd like another go at it until I'm lvl 30 though.

edit: Will say though, we did fucking excellently tonight on the Templar!! The hardest part of that is defending the confluxes and then dealing with the Oracles, once you're actually fighting the templar it's relatively straightforward so long as everyone stays alive.

The gorgon maze was interesting too, with the extra ones in there...

Yeah I was gutted and relieved to give up, we had a great team but we couldn't deal enough damage at this part, with pretorians one shotting us it would have been a grind to find the right tactics and probably 3-4hrs of time to do it.

Was a good effort all round lads, my loot drops were terrible only thing I got was shards the entire time. Maybe get it organised again once we have more level 30's around.

Great timing is right Gaz. Join us! The Xbone raid was a lot of fun last night. We got up to Templar fight and had Eagle Lord not had issues with his connection, I know we would have taken him down. I love how hopeless it feels at times. So when you finally nail a section, it's just so satisfying. Can't wait for more. Though I think I'd like beefier weapons for next time. My Legendary fusion rifle, Light/Beware, is going to shine in the Vault of Glass once it's fully levelled up.

Thanks to all the guys who were involved last night!

It was epic! And totally had that 'one more go' feel to the game play every time we wiped.

I want some more meaty guns and gear for it too. Better start saving my coins for Xur.

Sorry to the Monday afternoon raid lads. I got home around midnight sing time and was just too tired. The One owes me.

I think we could quite easily breeze through to the main boss in sub an hour now we've done it so many times.

Let me know if anyone is down for midday GMT session. Could blast through the weekly / nightfall if not enough people.

I should be around after 2pm

I'll add my name to the user list for this, been soloing it mainly and playing with randoms doing the story strikes.

On level 21 currently and looking to move up the levels and get into the raids eventually. Slow progress due to family commitments etc.

Got randomly paired up with a rllmuker last night doing some vanguard strikes - LaCappuccinoKid - and remembered about this post, will work my way through and see if I can figure out how to progress. Currrently rocking all blue gear, some of it fully levelled up. Any hints or tips welcomed!

Oh and a thing I discovered last night.

1. Don't pick up the bounty of not dieing in a strike.

2. Then try the Earth strike on its lowest difficulty.

3. Then get cocky cause you are drunk and die.

4. Then get annoyed at being cocky so try again.

5. Then get impatient, cocky, drunk and annoyed and die again.

6 then repeat steps 4 and 5.

After 4 strikes I gave up ;-) stupid drunk bravado.

Surely we stay at the top with sniper rifles? Two people on the boss one person covering them from behind? Only issue will be ammo if juggler is on, but if people have ice breaker they can cheat it with constant free ammo.

I don't have an ice breaker so am pretty much fucked ;-)

What is the weekly/nightfall? The app hasn't updated. The venus one with the rotating shield dude at the end? Really like that one.

You'll learn to despise it after 15 attempts ;)

Don't forget that quitting out of nightfall and rejoining is a thing if you're down, provided you have team mates in a safe hiding place :)

At a loose end this morning so thought I'd do some of the daily/weekly graft after the reset... Servers are down. Seems I shall be enjoying BF4 for a couple of hours then.

Back up now it seems, give me a shout if doing daily/weekly/nightfall and want some help
